Tyler POV:

Here we are, in her yard.
I looked around for her house.
There was only the shed.
I finally stopped closer and saw debris and ashes on the ground.
Her voice appeared out of nowhere.
"Kids came and burned it down last night."
I turned around and saw her, her kind blue eyes watery and her brown hair in a ponytail.
Her clothes were ragged and torn, several years old.
Z and Mini stepped back, suprised.
"Sorry to sneak up on you kids. And you-" she pointed at me.
"Are you who I think you are?"
I nodded.
She smiled and shook her head.
"Tyler. It's been all these years. Why haven't you shown up?"
She rushes forward, hugging me, Craig stepping forward as well.
He touched her shoulder.
"Get your hand off me, honey, before I tear it off." she growled.
He stepped back.
"I'm just kidding." he laughed, shaking his hand.
"I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm innocent. You know, if you touch me, I'll just get the murderer after ya." she joked around.
He smiled.
"Because I'm crazy, ya know." she sighed.
"Where have you been staying?" Z asked her.
She smiled.
"Been up all night."
"Why don't you sleep in the shed?" Mini asked.
She smiled.
"Honey, I'm too young to die. And believe me or not, you can think I'm crazy, you can take me as sane. Put me in a mental house. But listen to me, very, very carefully,"
She said, turning to them.
"Don't go near that shed. Ever. Don't go to look at it, don't think about it, don't talk about it. Never. Unless you want to hang up there."
She pointed to the tree.
"Melanie, stop fibbing." I told her, rolling my eyes.
She turned to me.
"Over a decade, and you still don't trust your best friend. Over a decade, since we've lived here, I've always told the exact same story. Tyler. I'm not fibbing. You're going to listen to me." she said.
"Or what?" I asked, snickering.
"Or you'll have to listen to me." Z said, pulling out a katana.
Melanie looked at me.
"What, Z, how are you believing this bullshit?"
"I've learned that things aren't always what they seem. You have to believe in everything that is possible. Expecting the unexpected, Tyler," Z said.
"That's the only reason I'm alive."
"Well, where do we stay?" my lover asked.
"Hotel." Melanie said.
"We don't have much money." I said.
"Here."
She handed us a small pouch full of bills.
"Holy shit. You have plenty of money. Why do you still stay here?" Mini asked.
Melanie smiled.
"Because I can't leave."
