Chapter 2 - Music

'When is the bell going to ring?' I thought to myself. I felt like this class was forever. I didn't really mind it though, because the cute boy infront of me was here. 

"Maia?" I heard a voice say. I looked up, the whole class was staring at me. 

"Uh, yes?" I said, I really had no idea what was going on. I noticed the boys infront of me also had there eyes on me, I got really nervous.

"Have you not been listening? Tell us about yourself." She laughed. 

"Oh.. Well I'm Maia Annett, I'm from Chicago...." I didn't know what else to say.

"Is that it? No interests? Music?" She asked, trying to get more out of me. I just wanted her to stop talking. 

"My favourite bands are The 1975, Blink-182, Nirvana, anything like that really." I tapped my black nails on my desk, nervously. I looked over to the cute boy and he was smiling at me. I smiled back. 

"Ok," the teacher said, confused "I'll give you credit for not saying One Direction or Justin Bieber or something..." She laughed and I laughed too. 

"Luke?" She said, referring to the boy infront of me. 

"Uh.. I'm Luke Hemmings, I'm in a band with Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin and Michael Clifford, we're called 5 Seconds of Summer. Erm, I like The Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Blink-182, anything like that really." He turned around and smiled at me. I realized he had copied what I just said, and I smiled back. The teacher looked back and fourth at me and Luke with a smirk. 

"Huh..." She said, nodding. She moved on to Calum. 

"I'm Calum Hood, basically what Luke said but throw in Chris Brown." He said, the class laughed. 

'Luke Hemmings' I said in my head. I smiled to myself. Finally the bell rang. I got up and collected my books. Luke turned to me.

"I'm Luke." He said, putting his hand out for me to shake it.

"Maia." I smiled, and shook his hand. 

"You have a sick taste in music, Maia." He said, still smiling.

"Thanks, so do you." I said shyly. Just then Calum called him over.

"I better go. I'll see you around yeah?" He said, walking away.

"Yeah.." I nodded, smiling. He walked away. I walked out of the class and went to my next, I had science. I searched the halls for room 107.

'104, 105..." I said in my head, I then saw room 107 and quickly opened the door. I scanned the class to see if maybe Luke was there, but he wasn't. I sat in the back again, and plugged in my head phones.
