Chapter 13 - Poison

Maia's P.O.V.

I can't believe I kissed Calum. What was that even about? I don't even like him. Do I? Wait, do I like Calum? I've never really thought about it, I've always focused on Luke. Then again, he always gives me butterflies when I'm around him and I never know why, and when we kissed my world stopped. I had never had a feeling like that before, it was really special. Oh no, I like Calum. I like Calum. I like Calum.

I repeated the words in my head and a smile spread across my face.

"I like Calum." I whispered to myself. 

It was 1am and I layed wide eyed in the dark on my bed. All of the sudden I heard stones crashing against my window. Tiredly I got up and peeled back my blinds to reveal Luke standing there. The rain was pouring down, I opened the window.

"Original." 

"For the hundreth time I'm sorry!" Luke called. I shook my head at him.

"Why would you lie to me about that Luke?" 

"Please come outside." He pleaded, his hair dripping from the rain. I rolled my eyes and shut my window. I went downstairs and opened up the front door, shutting it behind me. The rain began to hit me too. 

"Maia please listen to me." Luke said walking towards me. 

"Fine."

"Look, I only said that because I didn't want you to feel like you weren't special. You are so special to me, and the first time I did it wasn't special at all. That moment I spent with you meant everything to me and I didn't want you to think anything but that. So I lied, I know I shouldn't have, but I did and I can't turn back time, so I'm sorry, please forgive me." Luke apologized. I stood there silent. I had no idea what to say. 

"Maia please." 

"Come here." I opened my arms. He walked towards me and then held me in his arms. 

"You know I love you right?" He said. He let go of me and I nodded. He planted a kiss on my head.

"I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" I said.

"What you're not gonna let me in?" He laughed, "are you still mad?" 

"No no, I've just got a lot on my mind." I said. He nodded. 

"Ok, I'll see you later babe." 

"See you." I kissed him on the cheek. I walked towards my door, opening it and waving at him. I shut the door behind me and closed my eyes, leaning against it. What the hell am I going to do.
