Okay, so this is actually one that's quite a bit longer than my usual, and no.. I did not write it recently. This was a poem for a project in seventh grade, but I remember being really proud of it, so I thought that I might as well share it with you readers. Hope you enjoy!!

Rome, the strongest empire of all time

Keep expanding their border line.

But is their army large enough to cover the territory?

Or will Rome fall along with all its glory?

Provinces from all around

Keep asking Rome to protect their towns.

Rome, although, have other plans

While barbarians are attacking their land.

With Rome's soldiers spread across the border,

Not all the legions get all the orders.

Without enough men to protect the land,

After the attack, not much still stands.

Most of the barbarians have reason to attack,

Others just want the Roman blood for a snack.

One group of barbarians had been treated wrong,

Another because the Romans and them just did not get along.

Much occurred during those horrid battles.

All sides lost many, which made them rattle.

But in the end, the barbarians won

Because they had more strength and men by the tons.

Although Rome was quite strong,

We all know that such large empires don't last long.
