Chapter Nineteen

{CONTINUATION OF CHAP. EIGHTEEN}

At lunch, I stormed into the canteen and marched over to Solana's table. Asia was eating lunch with her friends and saw me.

I stood behind Solana. "You're coming with me." I said. "Wait, hold on." Solana uttered, looking back, her brows furrowed. "Just like that?"

"Yes and don't tell me to wait, come the fuck on." I stated, vexed.

Solana looked to her friends and stood. I snatched her wrist and hauled her ass into the hall.

Asia, Marcus, and Tiana watched me. Marcus shook his head and caressed Asia's back.

I shoved Solana onto a locker. "You're being too hostile." Solana told me. "Whose fault is that?" I asked. "If I had known, I would've never done it." Solana said.

"You sure about that?" I asked. "It's too fucking late. Asia doesn't even want to talk to me or hear me out."

Solana felt liable.

"You have to tell her I didn't start it."

"I don't think she'll listen to me."

"You have to, Solana. You have to. I don't want to lose her over nonsense. I like her too fucking much."

Solana exhaled. "I'll do it later."

"And make it believable." I added. "You can come to our class when school's over."

"Mm-hm." Solana nodded. I left her there and went outside to Desirae and Makena.

It was three o'clock. In class, the students started leaving. Makena went on ahead. Asia headed for the door. I hurried over and halted her.

"Babe, wait a minute." I said.

Asia walked around me like I was invisible. I halted her once more. Solana walked in. Asia became infuriated and looked at me.

"You want a fucking threesome, is that it?!" Asia asked. "No. God. Babe, listen." I said.

Solana moved forward. "I'm the one at fault here, not Jae. I'm the one who kissed her, she had no control of that whatsoever. It was all me. I wanted to rekindle what we had once, but it's clear I'm far too late and now she's moved on. It hurts, but I'll move on, too. I'll leave her alone from now on."

Asia stared me down. Her left orb twitched a little and her head turned towards Solana. "I understand." Asia nodded. Solana smiled.

"I'm also out of the cheer team." Asia added. "I'll return the uniform when we're done." Solana stared at her, at a loss for words. Her head bobbed once. "I'll leave now."

Asia turned to me and crossed her arms.

"You didn't have to exit." I said.

"I can't be around her, she'll make me crack, and I'd rather not hit her." Asia said with all seriousness. "Her mouth touched somewhere it shouldn't have and I don't like that."

I exhaled. "I know, but like I said. You're the one I want, Asia. I meant that then and I mean that now. You're amusing, stunning, confident, formidable. I love all of these traits, babe. You're what I need, no one else."

"Hm." Asia breathed out, hiding how she felt, but I knew she liked those words. I held her waist and left no distance between our bodies.

"Am I allowed to have a kiss?" I asked. Asia didn't answer, she kissed me instead. I rubbed her ass and it made her smile, she liked when I did that.

"Jae." Asia said. "Yes, mamas?" Asia embraced me. I held her close. "You missed me, huh?" I asked. "As irritated as I was, I did, bae." Asia answered. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek.

I was late for detention, but when I arrived, Mrs. Owens wasn't there. Thank the lord.

Makena said she had a crisis to deal with. A substitute teacher came and watched us instead.
