"Yes. Of course. Why would you ask such a crazy question?"
"Because you've been acting funny.."
"It's because of that douche who abuses you!"
"Hey, babe, calm down. It's okay."
"No. It's not."
"Well, there's nothing we can do about it so why worry."
"But we can change it. We can turn him in and then we can finally be happy."
"Baby, you have to realize that the cops will never believe me they think I'm a compulsive liar because of him. It'll never work out that way. I've excepted that. Why can't you?"
"Because I don't want to. I want to believe people get punished when they do something so cruel."
"Life doesn't always work that way."
"Well, it should."
"But it doesn't."
"Them I'll make it."
"Don't talk crazy."
"I'm not. I'm serious."
"Don't be ridiculous."
And then there was just silence. After a while, he spoke. "Fine, but if I ever see him touch you, I'll kill him myself."
