Alyssa wanted to die.  As the shadow-Chad beat her up, she cried.  She couldn't do this anymore.  She didn't want to do this anymore.  It hurt.

Someone tapped her on the shoulder, and she screamed.  She curled up into a ball, covering her head.  She couldn't do it anymore.  Please let death come.  Please.

If Death had come he had a really familiar voice.  It said, "Alyssa.  It's okay.  I'm here now."

Wait.... that wasn't the voice of Death... She knew that voice.

She turned away from shadow-Chad to see....

"Chad?"  Her voice was hoarse from tears and screaming.  It echoed.  "Is that... are you... is that really you?  The real one?"

He looked confused, but gently pulled her to her feet and wrapped her in a hug.

He whispered to her, "I'm sorry.  I'm so sorry.  I'm sorry for kidnapping you.  I'm sorry for not apologizing.  I'm sorry for leaving you alone.  I'm sorry."

Tears streamed down her cheeks.  If this wasn't real... That would be more torturous than shadow-Chad beating her up.
