Ryan laughed, running away. The chase was exhilarating; he loved being with Jane! Maybe he even- No! He refused to think that. There were more important things right now.
As he was not thinking about Jane, he hadn't realized where the chase had lead him. She had him backed up against the stone wall.
The smirk in her eyes matched the almost evil grin on her lips. Her lips- Don't think about her lips!
"Any last words?" she held the sword to his throat, and he smiled. She looked at him, confused now.
"Just a few," he said, gently moving the sword point down to her side. He stepped closer, and she gasped. He smiled, closing his eyes. He leaned forward, and whispered in her ear. "I think I win."
She gasped, enraged this time. She grabbed the collar of his shirt and pushed him against the wall. Uh oh.... But instead of totally annihilating him, she leaned forward, and kissed him, fast and furiously.
She pulled away. No, don't let her- Shut it! He grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her in, kissing her gently. She leaned in pushing him against the wall....
...That suddenly wasn't there.
