Through the weeks we all worked in an underground facility making maps of HYDRAS facilities. The bomb project was delayed by months because the heat of the Howling Commandos.

"Peggy!" I yelled and shot the man behind her as she finished the one she was dealing with off. We ran down the hall and radioed Steve and the others. "The ground level is cleared." I say, "Go check the stairs." I say to Peggy and she walks out of the door. I walk to a map and look at the points and dots. They didn't make sense though. They were all wrong coordinates. I felt hands grab on my neck and pull me back. I kicked up and when I got enough gravitational force I forced the man over my body. We were in hand to hand combat and as I spun around I grabbed my knife and fought in quick swings. Eventually I grabbed behind him, I covered his mouth and stabbed his chest slightly.

I breathed hard as the body slid to the ground. I killed a man, I killed a lot of men. They must have messed with the coordinates before we arrived. I grabbed my bag and began filling it with papers and things that looked like they could give some information on Arnim Zola and Johann Schmidt.

"Ready Peggy?" I said as we ran up the stairs and into the upper building where the other men were beginning to leave. We walked out and as we got farther away Steve pressed the bomb and the building blew up. All evidence was lost.

The ride to headquarters was silent and cold. Bucky rested his hand on thigh and I began pulling out papers and maps seeing if they gave us any insight where they would go next. "On the map they had in the basement, all their bases and stations were scrambled they didn't match up." I said and Steve nods thinking what that could mean. I look at the map that was hidden in the desk and look at the destination that is farther from any others. Fuck. "How does one export tons of explosives, a mad scientist, and men?"

"Transportation, but Schmidt has a plane he...." Steve stops and looks back grabbing my map. "They're taking a train."

___________

Peggy and I sat on top of the mountain and worked on frequencies. "Evelyn. There!" Peggy pointed and radioed the men. "The train is on its way. You have a ten second gap to get aboard."

"Tell them that Arnim Zola is aboard."

"Dr. Zola is aboard, we were right."

We tried to see the men, but in the snow they looked like little black dots. We could see them as rode the rail down to the train and landed safely on top. Our work here was done. "I'll meet you back at base." Peggy says,

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to meet them at the end. You can take the car. I'll ride with the men."

I nodded and we both walked down the mountain and to the car. The snow was beginning to pick up and I really didn't want her to get lost. "Take the radio!" I yelled over the wind.

"No you need it."

"I'll call you through the car radio when I get there!" I say and she nods grabbing it. "Be safe!"

"You too!"

I walk back through the snow and jog when I get closer. As soon as I get in I press the start and pick up the radio to call. "Peggy? Do you read?"

I felt a hand grab the back of my neck and a knife pressed in front of my face. "Evelyn! I made it! We'll meet you back at camp."

"Okay."

"Get out of the vehicle." The man says and I do as he commands. As soon as I'm out I'm surrounded. I didn't recognize anyone. I'm screwed. I feel a hit to the side of my head and see nothing but blackness.
