Chapter 11

Justin's Point of View
After I had some breakfast, I looked through my phone for any new text messages from Selena... But, there were none. And she hasn't called me either. I really wanted to know what happened last night, and find out why she stood me up, so I decided to call her. As I dialed her number though, I thought of about 3 reasons why I shouldn't call her.
1) Natalie said she was out with Ashley.
2) She probably just forgot about our date.
3) Honestly, I don't care. This isn't the first time she's stood me up, and it definitely won't be the last... I tossed my phone around in my hand. I have nothing to do today and I don't really wanna hang out with Selena. I wonder what Natalie's doing... I had a lot of fun hanging out with her last night.

Natalie's Point of View
I was making myself some cereal, when all of a sudden my phone started going off. I slowly took my phone out of my pocket. Someone was calling from an unknown number. I reluctantly answered the call. "Hello?" I said nervously. I was expecting a prank call, but instead, it was Justin. I politely asked him how he got my number.
"Steph gave it to me last night," he explained. I glared at Steph. She was smiling really big.
"Wow, I didn't think he'd actually call," she whispered. I rolled my eyes at her.
"So what's up?" I asked Justin. I was curious and wanted to know why he called.
"Nothing... I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out? I'm not doing anything, and I had a lot of fun with you last night," he said. His raspy voice sounded really sexy over the phone. I couldn't help but notice.
"Yeah sure, I'd love to," I said. "Where do you wanna hang out?"
"Wherever," he said.
"How about we go to the mall? There's a place there that has really good ice cream," I said. Justin chuckled.
"Alright, cool. What time should I pick you up?" he asked.
"Umm, I need about an hour to get ready, so..."
"So I'll pick you up in an hour, bye Natalie," he said, hanging up. I smiled, as I put my phone back in my pocket. I noticed my friends were packing up there things.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"We're leaving, so that you could get ready for your date with Justin," Steph explained.
"It's not a date," I said.
"Sure it isn't..." Marissa said. I ignored her and helped everyone pack their stuff. When everyone finished packing, they all picked up their bags, then gave me hugs and said bye. Steph and Marrisa kept wishing me good luck on my date.
"This time I dare you guys to make out, not just kiss," Nicole said, walking out the door.
"Yeah!" Steph said, laughing.
"They already made out though. You dared them to kiss, but they made out, remember?" Alyson told Nicole.
"Oh yeah, good point... then this time Natalie, give Bieber some tongue," Nicole said. Marissa nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, lots of tongue!" Marissa said.
"You guys are gross," I said, pushing them out the door, laughing. After they all left, I looked at the time and realized I only had a half an hour to get ready. I ran upstairs and took a shower. After I finished, I looked in my closet and put on the first shirt and jeans I saw. Then I started applying some make up. As I put mascara on, my phone started ringing. It was Justin. I answered, as I finished putting the mascara on. "Hello?"
"Hey, I'm outside," he said.
"Oh okay, I'm almost ready," I told him.
"Alright. Take your time," he said. I smiled and hung up. I looked at myself in my full body mirror. My hair and make up looked nice, but my outfit was plain. It was just some jeans and a regular looking shirt. I sighed and put my phone in the back pocket of my jeans. Oh well.

Justin's Point of View
I watched as the front door to the house opened and Natalie walked out. I stared at her as she walked down the steps of the front porch. As she got closer and closer, I felt my heart go faster and faster. I couldn't understand why my heart was beating so fast, so I just tried to ignore it. Once she got to my car, I smiled. "You look beautiful, you know that?"
"Really?" she asked, getting in my car. She sounds surprised.
"Yeah, you look really beautiful," I said, reassuring her. She laughed.
"Thanks," she said. I watched her eyes as she checked me out. "You do too."
"I look beautiful?" I asked, chuckling. She laughed and shook her head.
"You know what I meant!"

Natalie and me walked around the mall. I was really starting to get to know her. She was telling me about herself, and the more she told me, the more I wanted to know.
"So you don't like swimming?" I asked.
"No, not really," she said.
"What about when you're at the beach?" I asked.
"I love going the beach. And I'll get in the water, but I don't really like staying in long, or going too deep," she explained. I nodded.
"Yeah, me either," I said. She smiled. I really wanted to hold her hand but I knew it wasn't right. Even though she's single now, I'm not.
"Hey, there's that ice cream place I was talking about!" Natalie said, interrupting my thoughts. She took my hand and ran in the direction of the ice cream parlor. I smiled and felt a weird feeling in my stomach as I held her hand. When we got to the ice cream parlor, I didn't let go of her hand, and she didn't let go of mine. I figured it wasn't a big deal and I intertwined our fingers. I saw Natalie from the corner of my eye look down at our hands and smile... Eventually the line we were waiting on got shorter and shorter and finally the guy at the counter asked us what we wanted to order. He smiled at Natalie and said she could have whatever she wants.
"You don't have to pay," he said, winking at her.
"Yeah, you're right bro, she doesn't. I'm paying for her," I said, purposely ruining his stupid attempt to flirt with Natalie. I don't know why, but he was pissing me off.
"Whatever she's ordering is free, so all you gotta do is worry about yourself," he said. But as he said that, a guy wearing a different color uniform came up from behind him and said that every customer has to pay. I guess it was his boss or something. I smirked.
"I guess I am paying for her. Nice try bro," I said. The guy ignored me and asked Natalie what she wants.
"A small ice cream cone," she said.
"Same here," I said.
"What flavor do you guys want?" the guy asked, quietly. He was obviously annoyed, and I proudly take full credit for that.
"I'll have whatever she's having," I told him.
"So what's it gonna be?" he asked Natalie.
"Chocolate," she said. The guy left then came back with our cones. I let go of Natalie's hand and took both of them from him.
"Thanks bro. And remember, everyone's gotta pay," I said. The guy ignored me, but he looked like he was ready to explode. He asked the next person on line what they wanted, as me and Natalie walked away. I handed Natalie her ice cream.
"What was that all about?" Natalie asked. I laughed.
"Nothing. I just wanted to mess with that guy," I said.
"What for?" she asked.
"Because... he was being an ass," I told her.
"Why? Because he was flirting with me?" she asked. I stood quiet for a second, trying to think of what to say. I guess I'll just be honest.
"Yeah..." I said, finally.
"That doesn't make him an ass, Justin."
"Yeah it does. It makes him a huge one," I said, laughing a little.
"No, it doesn't. You're just saying he's an ass because you're jealous he was flirting with me," Natalie said. She looked down at her ice cream, smiling. I bit my lip. She's right. I am jealous... I have no idea why though? I cleared my throat.
"Uhh, let's go sit over there and eat this ice cream, alright?"

Selena's Point of View
Austin and me were holding hands as we walked around the mall together. I smiled. So far, he's already bought me a couple things. He can't afford everything, but he still buys me some of the stuff I want.
"Oh shit," Austin said suddenly. He stopped walking and since he was holding my hand, I was forced to stop too.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Justin and Natalie..." he said, staring off somewhere.
"What about them?" I asked.
"They're right there," he said, pointing. I looked to where he was pointing and saw Natalie and Justin sitting down at a table, eating ice cream. Even though I don't have feelings for Justin, I was jealous that she was hanging out with him. I was also really confused. What the hell is she doing at the mall with my boyfriend? I mean, I haven't broken up with him so technically he's still my boyfriend... I watched them eat their ice cream. Natalie must of said something funny because they both started laughing. They looked like they were having a great time together. Envy and jealousy overwhelmed me. I wanted to march right up to Natalie and tell her to get away the hell away from him. I sighed. Maybe I do have feelings for Justin... I harshly let go of Austin's hand and started walking towards them.
