Chapter 12

Austin's Point of View
I watched Selena stare intently at Natalie and Justin. I couldn't really tell what she was thinking, but it seemed like it bothered her to see them having such a good time... All of a sudden Selena started yanking hard on my arm, trying to get me to let go of her hand. As soon as I did, she started walking in the direction of Natalie and Justin... I quickly ran and grabbed her arm, stopping her before she could get any closer.
"Umm, what are you doing?" I asked, unsure of what her intentions were.
"Let go of my arm," Selena said, instead of answering my question. I'd never seen her so serious. I sighed.
"Babe, calm down, alright?"
"Don't tell me to calm down," Selena said, snatching her arm out of my hand. I bit my lip, as she started to walk towards them again.
"Selena!" I hollered. She turned around.
"What?" she asked, rolling her eyes. I walked over to her.
"You and him are over. You're my girlfriend now," I reminded her.
"Yeah, and?" she asked, putting her hands on her hips.
"So... why do you care?" I asked. "Why do you care he's here with your sister?"
"Because, I haven't broken up with him yet. And I think he's cheating on me. I think him and Natalie are on a date... I mean, why else would they be here together, just the two of them, eating ice cream?"
"Selena... you still haven't broken up with him?" I asked, ignoring everything else she said.
"No, I haven't gotten the chance to," she answered. I nodded.
"Better do it soon..." I said.
"Or what?" Selena asked, narrowing her eyes at me, and crossing her arms.
"Well... We're dating now. And you still haven't broken up with the kid. What are you waiting for?" I asked. Selena sighed as she let her arms fall to her sides.
"I'm gonna break up with him, okay? Just give me some time..." she said. Then she turned and once again, started walking over to them. I grabbed her arm.
"Selena, you can't," I warned. She turned around and gave me a look of confusion.
"Why not? I wanna know if he's cheating on me..."
"Yeah but if you ask them what they're doing here together, they'll ask us the same thing," I said, letting go of her arm. Selena nodded and looked around.
"Alright," she said, looking at me, and adjusting the bag she had dangling from her shoulder. "Let's just go then..."

Natalie's Point of View
As I ate my ice cream, Justin told me about Canada. "Canada seems amazing," I said. Justin smiled, showing me his perfectly straight teeth. My heart fluttered. I looked away in case I was blushing... As I listened to Justin, my eyes kept themselves busy. They roamed around the mall curiously yet in search of nothing in particular. Even though the mall was pretty crowded, I noticed a guy that looked a lot like Austin... then I realized it was Austin! There was a girl walking alongside him... They were holding hands and were walking towards the exit of the mall. The girl was pretty from behind. She had long, dark brown hair, almost black, and she was wearing an expensive looking outfit. I recognized the bag she had. It was by Louis Vuitton. It looked just like the one Selly has. I sighed realizing how fast Austin had moved on. I bit my lip, feeling my eyes swell up in tears. Justin must of noticed, because he cut short what he was saying, and demanded to know what was wrong.
"Nothing," I said. "It's nothing..."
"No, tell me," he insisted. I sighed and pointed at Austin.
"Austin's here..." I said. "With another girl."
Justin looked to where I was pointing. Then he looked down and shook his head, furrowing his eyebrows. He abruptly got up and started walking in the direction of Austin and the girl. My eyes widened. "Justin!" I called after him. I ran and got in front of him, placing both of my hands on his chest, forcing him to stop. "Justin, please don't."
"You sure?" he asked. I nodded, taking his hands away from his chest.
"Yeah, just leave it," I said, looking away from Justin. A tear cascaded down my face. I didn't mean to start crying. In fact, I tried really hard not to... But sure enough, that single tear had become multiple tears. Justin, not knowing what else to do, grabbed me in a hug. My face was buried in his chest and I could smell the strong scent of his cologne. Justin rubbed my back comfortingly. Then he slowly pulled away from me.
"Natalie, don't cry..." Justin said, using his thumbs to wipe my tears away. "You know what? Come on, let's go," he said, casually taking my hand in his. "I wanna take you somewhere."
I nodded and took a deep breath, trying to pull myself together. "Where, Justin?" I asked.
"You'll see."
I nodded. We threw out what was left of our ice cream and left the mall. As Justin drove to this mysterious place, he hesitantly asked, "Oh yeah, umm, you're not afraid of heights, are you?"
I shook my head. "I'm not afraid of anything," I said, smiling. Justin smirked at my cocky remark.
"Alright then," he said. "Then this is gonna be fun."
"What's gonna be fun?" I asked. He took his eyes off the rode for a second and looked at me. I thought he was going to answer my question, but instead he just smiled.
