Natalie's Point of View
I felt Justin's hands rubbing my back comfortingly. I sobbed into his chest, upset about everything that had happened.
"Natalie," he said. "Let's just get out of here."
"Where are we gonna go?" I asked, pulling away from his chest and looking up at him.
"My place. Come on," he said, grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers. We left my room and started going down the stairs. Halfway down we saw Selena and my mom. They were discussing something but once they noticed us they both stood quiet. I let go of Justin's hand as Selena and my mom eyed us down. I'm guessing she just filled my mom in on the situation.
"Natalie Ann Gomez," my mom said sternly. I bit my lip. She definitely did. My mom hardly ever calls me by my full name.
"Yes?" I asked politely.
"I need to speak to you privately," my mother replied. I knew that was coming...
"Alright," I said. I sighed and walked down the stairs, quickly glancing back at Justin before following my mom into the kitchen.
Justin's Point of View
I watched as Natalie left with her mom. Damn. We're screwed. Her mom's not gonna let us date, not only because of Selena but also because her mom doesn't let Natalie date in general. Fuck. I sighed and finished going down the stairs. Selena looked at me, with sad eyes. I half smiled at her. She looked back at me with a blank expression. I sighed. At least she isn't crying anymore. I walked over to her and opened my arms for a hug. Surprisingly she hugged me. I hugged her back tightly, feeling sorry for her.
"I didn't mean for this to happen," I said while hugging her.
Natalie's Point of View
"But mom, I never meant for this to happen!" I yelled.
"It shouldn't have happened period. This is ridiculous. How could you do this to your sister?"
"I- I don't know," I said, beginning to cry. My mother shook her head at me.
"I'm really disappointed in you," she said. "What made you think it was okay?"
"I knew it wasn't," I said. "And I tried so hard not to let it happen."
"So why did it?" my mom asked.
"Because... I fell in love," I murmured.
"What did you just say?" she asked, widening her eyes. I looked down at the floor shyly. Then I looked back up at her.
"I fell in love with Justin," I said reluctantly.
"No," my mom said, shaking her head. "Absolutely not."
"What do you mean?" I asked, squinting my eyes and furrowing my eyebrows.
"You're sixteen years old and that was your sister's boyfriend," my mom said. "I don't care if you like Justin. You're not allowed to date him." And with that, my mom turned on her heels and started to walk away.
"But I don't just like him, I'm in love with him!" I yelled, as my mom left the kitchen. I cursed quietly to myself then left the kitchen too and found my mom standing in front of Justin with her arms crossed.
"Leave," she said to him.
"Natalie means a lot to me and I really love spending time with her. I'm sorry this happened and I'm sorry I got between your daughters but-"
"I'm not going to ask you again," my mom interrupted him. Justin nodded, sadly looking at me standing behind my mom.
"Bye Natalie," he said quietly. My lip quivered at the thought of never seeing Justin again. I felt like bursting out crying.
"B-bye Justin," I said. He frowned and turned around, opening the front door and closing it behind him.
