Chapter 16

Natalie's Point of View

After Justin hung up on me, I ran to my room and looked through my closet for something cute to wear. I chose this. I was in the middle of applying mascara and other make up when suddenly my phone vibrated. It was Justin. "Hello?" I answered.

"I'm outside," he said.

"Okay, let me just finish doing my make up," I said. Justin chuckled.

"You don't need make up," he said, then hung up. I smiled to myself as I put my phone back in my pocket and went over to my full body mirror. I studied my outfit carefully. It was perfect. Simple, but cute. I left my room and tried walking past Selena's room without her noticing. As I was about to go downstairs, I heard her call my name. I turned around and saw her standing outside her room glaring at me. Her shoulder was holding her phone against her ear and she was holding a bowl of popcorn in her hands.

"Where are you going?" she asked, looking me up and down.

"To hang out with the girls..." I replied. Selena nodded and walked back into her room. I quickly ran down the stairs.

Once I was back in my room, I continued watching TV and eating popcorn. I was also on the phone with Austin.

"Was that Natalie you were talking to?" he asked.

"Yeah. She's going out with her friends or whatever. I don't care," I said.

"I wonder why she was out with Bieber the other day..."

"Don't bring that up," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Why not?" he asked.

"Just don't... And by the way, I'm gonna ask Justin to hang out later. So we can't go out tonight okay?"

"Oh alright. You're gonna break up with him?" Austin asked.

"No..."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't wanna break up with him," I admitted.

"You're kidding me right?"

I put the bowl of popcorn next to me on the couch and sighed. I held the phone to my ear with one hand and stranded through my hair with the other.

"Austin... I think I might actually have feelings for him. When I saw him with Natalie, I was really jealous."

"But what about me? I broke up with Natalie because of you... I thought you liked me..."

"I did, and I still kind of do... But I want Justin. Not you... Sorry," I said, hanging up. I decided that later on I would take a shower, call Justin, and ask him to hang out.

Justin's Point of View

I pulled up in front of the restaurant I made reservations at. The place was really expensive. I really hope things with Natalie won't be awkward... The lady upfront asked how many people I had with me. I told her I had reservations for a table for two.

"Name?" she asked. After I told her, she motioned for us to follow her. Once we were seated, I told Natalie she looked beautiful.

"Thank you," she said, blushing a little. "So uh, why did you wanna hang out?" she asked. I sighed.

"Because I can't stop thinking about you... Did you really mean what you said?" I asked.

"What are you talking about?" she asked, giving me a confused look.

"After the amusement park, when we were at the beach... You said you didn't have feelings for me at all," I reminded her.

I looked down and sighed. What am I supposed to say? Should I tell him the truth?

"Justin... I..."

Just then, the waitress came. Justin looked annoyed that she interrupted me, but I was happy she did. "What can I get you guys to drink?" she asked.

"Sprite," Justin replied.

"I'll have a Coke," I said. The waitress smiled at us and told us she'll be back with our drinks. As soon as she left, Justin adjusted himself in his seat and leaned forward. "Alright, continue what you were saying," he said, giving me his full attention. Fuck. I thought he was gonna change the subject or something. I looked down and started playing with my hands, not knowing what to say.

"I don't have feelings for you Justin..." I said, looking down.

"But when we kiss... I always feel something when we kiss. And I know you feel it too. I mean, how can you not..." Justin said slowly. I looked up at Justin and bit my lip. Then I picked up the menu and started looking through it.

"What are you gonna get?" I asked him, trying to change the subject. Justin picked up his menu and sighed. He started reading it then put it down.

"Steak and fries," he mumbled. The waitress came with our drinks. She asked us if we were ready to order. We ordered and as we waited for our food, it was really awkward. Justin was on his phone, probably on Twitter. And I was just sitting there looking at the floor. I wanted to tell Justin how I feel, but it's just not right. I know I can't help the way I feel, but I should at least try to ignore it.

"Let's go to my house," Justin said, as we were walking out of the restaurant. We got inside his car and I shrugged.

"Alright," I said.

He drove to his house. When he pulled up in front, my eyes widened. His house was huge. After Justin parked his car, he opened the door to his house and we went inside. I looked around and gazed at everything with Justin following closely behind. As I walked past the living room and into the kitchen I felt Justin wrap his arms around my waist.

"I know you're lying when you say you don't have feelings for me," he whispered in my ear. I bit my lip.

"I'm not," I said. I tried to pry his arms off of my waist, but I couldn't. He was too strong. I eventually got frustrated and turned around. We made eye contact and I felt my heart skip a beat. I was face to face with him now. He took his arms off of my waist and I moved back a little, hitting my back against his kitchen counter behind me. Justin smirked and picked me up, sitting me down on the counter. He put a hand on each of my sides and smiled. I forgot all about "ignoring my feelings" and put my arms around his neck. I pulled him closer, breaking the little distance that was between us. He licked his lips. I hesitantly leaned in, pressing my lips against his. He kissed back then pulled away and smiled. "I didn't ask you to kiss me that time," he said. I laughed.

"You're right, you didn't," I said. "And you didn't this time either."

Before he could say anything, I pressed my lips against his once again. He kissed back and stuck his tongue in my mouth. We were making out. It felt so wrong but so right at the same time... I pulled away eventually and we both tried to catch our breath.

"You don't kiss me because... I'm a good kisser," he said, breathing heavily. "You kiss me... because you like me..."

I nodded and pecked his lips. "You are a good kisser though," I said. He chuckled. I smiled. "I'm sorry I lied to you," I said, "I wanted to tell you how I felt but I was scared."

"Why would you be scared?" he asked.

"You're my sister's boyfriend..." I said, my voice trailing off. I looked down and sighed. "It isn't right for either of us to feel this way."

"But we do," Justin whispered. I looked up at him and he smiled, then leaned in and kissed me.
