Chapter 27

Justin's Point of View
I woke up in the morning with a headache. I barely got any sleep last night. I couldn't stop thinking about Natalie. I was so tempted to call her and try to talk to her but I told myself there was no point in doing that since she probably wasn't going to pick up. As I got up from my bed, my phone started vibrating. I bit my lip and hoped it was Natalie. I anxiously looked at my phone screen. (1) new message.

From Selena:
Let's eat breakfast at IHOP again. Those pancakes were so good lol :)

To Selena:
ok ill pick u up in a half an hour

I sighed and put my phone on the little table next to my bed. I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. My hair was a fucking mess. I looked like a peacock. I decided to take a quick shower. Once I was done, I blew dry my hair and did my usual hair style. I looked in the mirror and fixed my hair till it was just right. After my hair was perfect, I left the bathroom and went to my closet. I threw on whatever clothes. I really didn't care about looking nice for Selena. I picked up my phone and slipped it into my pocket before leaving my room. I jogged down the stairs and got my car keys. Before I knew it, I was parked outside Selena's house waiting for her to come out.

Natalie's Point of View
I sat on my couch eating ice cream and watching TV. I was trying to get my mind off Jus-...him. It's so hard not to think about him, especially after what happened. I can't believe that happened. I can't believe it's...over. I know we didn't really have anything official to begin with, but we definitely had something. And I know it was wrong, but it felt so right. Being with him, kissing him, cuddling with him... it all felt so right. And he sounded so sincere when he said he loved me and only me... But I just think he's taking advantage of the whole situation. I know I told him to pretend, but it didn't look like he was pretending. He was putting so much into that kiss. And the worst part of this whole thing is me going behind my sister's back. I was making it so easy for him to cheat on Selena, and I was allowing him to cheat on her with me. What kind of a sister am I? I sighed and closed the ice cream tub. I got up from the couch and went into the kitchen to put the ice cream away. I heard someone coming down the stairs and turned around to see Selena wearing a beautiful outfit.
"I'm going out with Justin," she informed me smiling.
"Alright..." I said. I stared at her as she opened the front door then closed it behind her. I scurried over to the window and lifted up the blinds just a little, trying not to make it obvious I was spying on them. I didn't want Justin to see me watching. I bit my lip as Selena walked to Justin's car and got inside. Of course she kissed him, and he kissed back but he kept his eyes open the whole time. And when she pulled away, he didn't smile or anything. He immediately started the car and drove away. I closed the blinds and went back into the living room, plopping myself down on the couch and thinking about what I just saw...

Selena's Point of View
"So you want IHOP?" Justin asked, glancing over at me then looking back at the rode.
"Yeah," I said. "Those pancakes are really good!" I added. I looked out my window then looked back at Justin and noticed his outfit. He was wearing some grey sweatpants and a white tank top. I looked down at myself and compared our outfits. I was obviously trying to impress him with mine. My shirt was low cut, meaning it showed more of my chest then a regular shirt would. It wasn't too much, but it was enough to get a guy's attention. I thought he would notice and say I looked sexy, but he didn't. I bit my lip. And on top of that... he's wearing such a laid back outfit, almost like he doesn't care.
"Alright, let's go get some pancakes," Justin said, interrupting me from my thoughts. I looked out the window and realized that we were at IHOP already. We both got out of the car and walked into the restaurant. We were seated right away. After we ordered our pancakes and the other breakfast foods we wanted, Justin took out his phone.
"Justin, please put your phone away," I said. I can't believe he has the nerve to take it out after what happened last time.
"I'm not playing Temple Run," he said, looking at me with a blank expression and then looking back at his phone.
"Then what are you doing?" I asked.
"None of your business," he replied. I squinted my eyes at him.
"I'll leave right now if you're gonna act like this," I said. "This is exactly like last time."
"I'm not playing Temple Run!" he said, raising his voice and showing me his phone. I looked at it and saw he was on Twitter.
"So?" I asked. He looked back at his phone.
"Last time I was playing Temple Run and that's why you got mad," he said, sliding his finger up and down his phone.
"I also got mad because you were being an asshole," I said. He looked up at me.
"I'm not being an asshole, Selena," he said.
"You told me to mind my own business," I said, crossing my arms. Justin sighed.
"Sorry," he said simply, then looked back at his phone. I bit my lip, getting mad.
"I'm going to the bathroom," I said, getting up from my seat. Justin looked up from his phone, as I turned and left to go to the bathroom.

Justin's Point of View
Selena left to go to the bathroom and I really don't give a fuck if she's mad at me. She was telling me to put my phone away and asking me what I was doing, and basically just annoying the hell out of me. I told her it was none of her business because I was pissed after seeing what I saw on Twitter... well, on Natalie's Twitter specifically. She tweeted about me last night... I reread her tweet over and over again.

"@nataliegomez: I didn't recognize the player playing the game. "

I closed the Twitter app on my phone and sighed. I ran my hand through my hair. How could she think that? How could she think I'm a player? And the worst part is the fact she doesn't think I truly love her. After everything I said and did, and after all the kissing and the I love you's, how could she think I'm fucking with her? I know she saw me kiss Selena but it's not like I wanted to. I was only kissing her because she told me to, but if it were up to me, I would of broken up with Selena a long time ago. This is fucking bullshit. I opened the Twitter app back up...then I closed it. I was gonna make a tweet directed towards her but I don't wanna confuse my fans. I looked for her contact in my phone and decided I'd text her instead.

To Natalie:
i was on twitter and saw what u said. i mean what i say natalie. when i said i loved u i meant it. and guess what i still do. i love u. im not a player and im not fucking with u and ur sis. cant believe u would think that.

I sighed and sent the text, then slipped my phone back in my pocket. I leaned back in my seat. The waitress came with the breakfast me and Selena ordered. I started eating right away and smiled when Selena came back from the bathroom. I decided I'd be nice to her, because I'm just not in the mood to deal with her bullshit. If I give her attitude, or if I don't show affection, she'll start bitching. So here comes my acting! I deserve to be awarded an Oscar for this shit.
"Hey baby," I said, fake smiling.
"Hey," she said quietly, sitting down.
"I'm sorry for being an asshole," I said, leaning over the table and kissing her cheek. "Guess I was just hungry," I added, sitting back in my seat, shrugging, and stuffing my face with pancake. She started laughing. As we ate, I felt my phone vibrate and I froze. Did she text me back? I anxiously took out my phone. As I did, my elbow hit my glass of orange juice, spilling it all over me. "Fuck," I cursed under my breath. My shirt was soaked. Selena started laughing. The waitress hurried over and started cleaning the table.
"Do you wanna order more food?" she asked. I looked at what was left of my pancakes. The orange juice had got in my plate and wet my food. I shrugged.
"Nah, it's cool. I ate enough," I replied. She nodded smiling and left with my plate. Selena was still cracking up. I ignored her as I checked my phone. It wasn't a text from Natalie. It was just some updates from Twitter. I sighed and put my phone away.
"Justin I'm finished," Selena said sweetly. I looked up at her and nodded.
"Alright let's go," I said, getting up from my seat.
"Where are we going?" she asked, grabbing onto my arm as she got up from her seat.
"My house, then yours," I replied. She held onto my arm and stood close to me as we left the restaurant.
"Why? What are we doing?" she asked. We got inside my car and I put the keys in the ignition. I started the car and pulled out of the IHOP parking lot.
"We're going to my house so I could change my shirt, then we're going to your house to watch a movie," I said.
"Why can't we watch the movie at your house?" she asked. I rolled my eyes without her seeing.
"Because I wanna watch it at your house. We never hang out at your house. We're always chilling at mine. I thought maybe we'd change it up, you know?" I said, bullshitting her. The real reason was because I knew Natalie was probably going to be home and I wanted to see her. Maybe I'd even get the chance to talk to her.

Selena's Point of View
I laid on Justin's bed and watched as he went inside his closet to go change his shirt. While he was gone, I looked around his room. I got up from his bed and wandered around. I saw a little piece of paper on the floor. It looked like it was something he wrote. It was in his handwriting. I heard him call my name and I quickly picked up the paper and crumpled it up, putting it inside my purse.
