I look at myself in the mirror. I don't look like me.. I don't look like the Blair Jordon I know. It's almost as if I.. I look grown-up.I am shaken out of my thoughts when my aunt opens the door and enters the room. She closes the door again and turns to look at me, "Oh, look at you" she says "You look gorgeous Blair", I smile at her through the mirror. "Thanks" I awkwardly say and she looks at me questioningly, "What's wrong baby?" she seems worried. "It's nothing, please don't worry" I assure her "It's just weird seeing myself like this.. This grown woman.. It's not me". My aunt laughs a little "Of course it's you darling, you have grown into such a strong and beautiful women" I see tears forming in her eyes "Your mother would have been so proud of you". I turn around and hug my aunt tightly. "I know" I say quietly and I hear her sob. "Please don't cry.." I say. I let go of my aunt en look at her, holding back my tears. She seems to notice my tears because she wipes hers and says "I'm sorry, I'll stop. We don't want to ruin your make-up on your special day now, do we?". I shake my head and we both laugh a little.
"Are you ready?" my aunt asks, I turn to the mirror and look at myself once more. I'm nervous.. but am I ready? I guess we'll see. I take a deep breath, turn to my aunt again and nod. My aunt opens the door and we walk out of the room together.
This is really happening..
