Rose and I are sitting in the living room, nervously waiting for Nigel to arrive. When the doorbell finally rings I nearly jump of off the couch. Rose and I look at each other before we stand op and walk towards the door.

I take a deep breath as Rose opens the door to reveal Nigel standing there, wearing a white button up shirt and some black dress pants and with some nice flowers in his hand.

Nigel smiles as he sees me. "Hey, you look beautiful," He says, I feel my cheeks heat up a little. "Thank you," I say and shyly smile at him. "I bought you some flowers," He says, "I see that.." I say and Nigel gives me the flowers. I'm not sure what kind of flowers they are but they look beautiful and smell amazing. "Should I put them in water for you? Then you can go on your date" Rose asks me as I'm still sniffing the flowers. "Yes, thank you," I say and give the flowers to Rose. "Well... I'll see you later" Rose smiles. "I'll bring her home safely" Nigel jokingly assures Rose and she laughs a little. "Have fun!" Rose says before walking off to the living room, leaving me standing there alone with Nigel.

After a few seconds of silence Nigel says "You look beautiful". I laugh a little, "You said that already" I tease him. "I did.." He says, shame clear on his face. "Let's just go," I say and Nigel smiles, "Good idea," he says. I step outside and close the door behind me.

Nigel and I walk to his car and Nigel opens the door for me. Gentleman. I thank him and get in the car. Nigel closes the door and walks over to the other side of the car and gets in. I put on my seat belt, Nigel does the same and starts the car. "So... where are we going?" I curiously ask. Nigel chuckles a little before saying "You'll see". Nigel starts driving and I look out of the window.

After about ten minutes we park at what looks like a fancy restaurant. I'm happy I decided to wear my navy lace dress. We get out of the car, and yes Nigel opened the door for me again. Gentleman. We walk toward the entrance and go inside. Nigel starts talking to a man in a suit but I am to distracted by how beautiful it looks inside. "Let me escort you to your table" I hear the man say and Nigel and I follow him through the restaurant. He stops at a table next to the window and we sit down. I look out the window and it feels like everything slows down. The view is so gorgeous! "Champagne?" I vaguely hear but I am too stuck in the view to answer anything right now. I hear Nigel saying yes and the man walks away.

"Nice view huh?" I hear Nigel say and I turn to look at him. "It's incredible," I say. "I thought you'd like it here" "Yes, this is amazing" "It's my fathers" "What? You father owns this restaurant?" "Yes, he does" "Wow, that's so cool".

The waiter comes back, gives us both a menu and fills our glasses with champagne. Nigel thanks him before he walks away again.

Our date is going great. We ordered food, which tastes amazing by the way! And we have a nice conversation going on about how he has always liked me when we were little and how I've never noticed that. It is going better than I've ever hoped it would.

"I can't believe you've liked me for so long, " I say. "And that I had to move away for you to realize you were a little late making a move," I tease Nigel and he laughs. "Well I can't believe you never noticed it," he backfires. "Why have you never told me this before?" I ask. "Would that have made a difference?" He asks. Would it? I take a little bit of time to think about this one and then finally I say "Yes, I think so".

Nigel seems pleased with my answer as he continues eating his food with a slight smile on his lips. Cute.
