I'm in my car on my way to Rose's to drop off all of my stuff before Nigel picks me up for our date. I'm not sure how I'm gonna dress or how he'll dress or where we are going and all of this is making me nervous.
I'm listening to Shawn Mendes. I love Shawn's music. His calm voice and his guitar make me calmer. Which is very helpful now, or when I can't sleep.
As I ride through the city to Rose's house I look around the place I've lived all my life until a week ago. It's kinda weird being back here... but honestly, I can't say I've missed it that much.
When I arrive at Rose's she runs outside when she I park my car in front of her house. I step out of the car and get tackled right away with a hug from Rose. "Hey Rose" I laugh. "I'm so happy that you're here!" She says and let's go of me. "Me too" I smile.
Rose helps me unpack my car and we bring all my stuff to Rose's bedroom.
Rose sits down on her bed and looks at me with some weird smile on her face. "What?" I ask her and she pats down next to her on the bed. I sit down on the bed and Rose keeps looking at me. I look at her questioningly and she says "So? Where are you guy going?". "Who?" I ask, still not sure of what she means. "You and Nigel of course! Where are you going? What are you gonna do?" Rose asks again and I lift my shoulders, "It's gonna be a surprise" I say. "How exciting!" Rose squeals and I laugh. "Can you.. can you help me get ready?" I ask and Rose jumps off of the bed. "Of course! I thought you'd never ask" She smiles. Rose pulls me up the bed as well and we go through my bags trying to find me an outfit to wear to my date.
