I don't like driving at night, or at least when it's dark.

I've put my aunt's address in my GPS so I won't completely get lost. Not that I think I will completely get lost, but I really don't know where she lives so you never know, I might just completely get lost. I'll just do what my GPS tells me to do and hopefully he knows which way to go.

It is very silent in my car so I decide to turn my radio on a low volume, I don't want to get distracted while driving through the dark. I just hope this ride will go fast.

Luckily it did. I park my car in front of my aunts house and get out. My aunt gave me a spare key to her house earlier, which is good because by the looks of this house.. I mean because all the lights are off, my aunt is probably already asleep. Which isn't weird considering it is midnight.

I walk to the front door and grab the spare key from my pocket. I quietly open the door and walk inside. I feel like a burglar. I close the door equally as silent and look around me. I see a stairs and three doors. Should I go straight up? Or should I look around first? It's not like that is illegal or something.. I am going to live here. I decide to silently look around for a bit.

I open the first door and see the cupboard, so I close that door again. When I open the second I see a toilet. Good to know. I close that door again and walk to the third door. When I open the last door I see that it leads to what looks like the kitchen and the living room.. so it probably is the kitchen and the living room, I don't even now why I said that. Anyways, after I quietly look around in the kitchen and living room I decide to go upstairs.

When I get upstairs I see four door in total. Oh god.. what if I accidentally open my aunt's bedroom door.. I don't want to wake her up.

After a few seconds I finally decide which door I'll open first and I walk towards it. I take a deep breath before opening the door as silent as I can possibly be. I am relieved to find the bathroom, instead of my aunt's bedroom. But this was not the room I was looking for, so I close the door again. Three doors left.. That leaves me with a 33.3% chance I'll open my aunt's bedroom door.

I walk to the next door and grab the handle. I open the door slightly, just far enough for me to look inside and am once again relived to see it's not my aunt bedroom. Instead this looks like a little work office. I close the door again and look at the remaining two doors. Now I'll have 50% change.. I don't think I've ever been this nervous to open a door..

Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a monkey by the toe. If he wiggles, let him go. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe.

I walk towards the third door. Please let it be my room. I grab the handle and hold my breath as I slowly open the door. I feel like I've won the lottery when I see my bags standing in this room. I walk into the room and close the door behind me. I search the wall with my hands to find a light switch and turn the light on. I look around 'my' room. It is nothing special really, it's just a bedroom.

I sit on the bed and open one of my bags to grab my pajamas. In the bag I see an old copy of one of my favorite books 'To kill a mockingbird' and I take it out. This is one of the best books I have ever read, even though at first I didn't like it at all. I remember the first time I read it. I thought the beginning of the story was rather boring, getting to know the different characters, nothing fascinating happened and I had to get used to the way Harper Lee wrote. She uses a wide range of vocabulary, so I had to look up many words to actually understand what was going on. But now I absolutely love this book, even though I've read it like 10 times.

I change into my pajamas and climb into bed. I grab the book and start reading until I fall asleep.
