I grab a backpack with my phone, my wallet, a book and some other stuff inside and head out of the door.

I walk trough the city and look around. It is very quiet and peaceful out here. I kind of like it but it is so different from what I'm used to.. which I've probably said like ten thousand times already.

As I walk over the side walk I smell the delicious smell of coffee beans and see a coffee shop. I haven't had any coffee today, or have I? I don't know but I decide to go inside anyways.

I take a seat at a small table next to the window and place my backpack on the ground next to me. After a few seconds a boy with an apron walks up to me. "Would you like to order something?" he asks me and I look up to see the pretty boy I ran into yesterday. My heart literally skips a beat when I see him. His eyes widen a little, but he recovers quickly. I wonder if he remembers me as well.. This is getting awkward, I should probably order. "Umm yeah, can I have a coffee with milk?" I ask and he writes it down "Sure, anything else?" "I don't know, what would you recommend?" "The blueberry muffins here are great.." he seems a little shy. "Blueberry muffin it is" I say and smile. The boy writes it down and smiles back at me before he walks away.

I take my book out of my backpack. I wonder what his name is.. Why am I so intrested in this boy? I don't even know him. There is just something about this guy that makes me so damn curious, but I have no idea what.

The boy comes back and places my coffee and blueberry muffin in the table. "Here you go" he says and just before he turns to walk away I see his name tag. Darren, it says. I smile just because of the fact that I know his name now. It's not that I don't like his name, because I do, but just that I know it now makes me happy enough to smile.

I open my book, start reading and eat my muffin.

What seems like a few minutes go by and then I hear "I'm sorry, we're closing..". When I look up I see Darren. Wait, closing? "Closing?" I ask confused. "Yes, it's already half past five.." He says and I look at the clock. What?! I look around and see that everyone has left, except me and then I see my untouched coffee, "Shit, I didn't even drink my coffee.." I say and when I look up I don't see Darren anymore.

I close my book and but it back in my backpack. When I stand up I see Darren walking my way with two cups of coffee in his hands. "Here, from the house" he says and puts one of the cups down on the table in front of me. "Mind if I sit with you?" he asks and I feel my cheeks slightly heat. "Sure, thank you.." I say and sit down again. Darren sits down next to me. "Is your boss okay with this?" I ask "about the coffee I mean.." I explain myself before he gets the wrong idea. "He won't have to know, I'm alone here anyway, I'm surposed to close up but I think this won't bother anyone" Darren smiles at me and I smile back.

"I'm Darren by the way" He says and I nod. "I know" I say and then I realize how creepy that sounded. "I mean, I saw your name tag.." I explain and Darren chuckles. "I'm Blair" I say. I smile at him and take a sip of my fresh and hot coffee. It's so sweet of him to give me a new cup of coffee because I was stupid and forgot about the time and let my coffee get cold.

For the next couple of minutes - or hours, I'm not sure about time anymore - Darren and I talk, laugh and enjoy our coffee. Darren is such a nice guy, I think I'm starting to really like him..
