I wake up from the sun that shines through the blinds in my room. I open my eyes and look at the clock. It's 10 A.M. Why am I so tired? I sit up and stretch. I sit there a few minutes and yawn a couple of time before I get out of bed. I walk toward the window and slightly push the blinds aside to look outside.
I smell something.. I sniff again. What is that smell? It smells disgusting.. Like burnt bacon or something. I grab ahair elastic from my bag, put my hair in a messy bun and decide to check on the smell downstairs.
When I get downstairs and go to the kitchen I see my aunt through a big cloud of smoke. "What the hell happened in here?" I ask my aunt and I cough a little. "I wanted to make you some breakfast.. that didn't really work out the way I wanted it to." My aunt says and I laugh at her. "Would you mind, at least I tried" My aunt says but I still can't help but laugh. My aunt sighs, "We'll just have to go out for breakfast then. You are okay with that, aren't you?" she asks me. I nod "Sure, I don't like my food burnt" I taunt my aunt and she shakes her head but laughs. I open a window for all the smoke to get out and my aunts starts to clean the mess she made in the kitchen.
It's really nice of my aunt to try to make me some breakfast on my first morning here. I really appreciate it, even though it went terribly wrong. It's a nice gesture.
I remember once when she had to babysit me and my little sister. We wanted to bake pancakes.. I think you can guess what happened. It went horribly wrong! And when I say horribly, I really mean HORRIBLY! I don't know how we did it but our pancakes caught fire, like actual fire.. It was kinda terrifying but also very funny. We had to throw away the pan afterwards because it was so damaged. We bought a new pan and I don't think my parents ever found out, it was our little secret.
I go upstairs to change my clothes. I should probably unpack my bags first.
While I unpack my bags and put all my stuff away I find a picture of my little sister and my father and look at it.

I remember laughing so hard when I took this picture, I nearly pied my pants. It was fathers day and Margo (my little sister) decided that daddy had to look beautiful for such a special day. So she gave him a make-over, which took ages, but she had so much fun so my dad just let her. It also took ages to get off by the way but it was so worth it just because Margo had the best time. A few days later she wanted to do it again so my dad made some lame excuse that it was only for special days or something like that. I'm so happy that I took a picture of that moment, I still laugh a little when I think about it.
I put the picture away on the dresser and quickly change my clothes before going downstairs again. My aunt gets her purse and checks if there is enough money in her wallet. Then she turns to look at me. "Are you ready to go?" She asks, and here we have that stupid question again..
