The rain, and dark skies had thankfully let up over the past couple days, and the pool was back open. I heard from Kyle that Austin had off today which I was thankful for, the two of us on worse terms than we were before. I had told Kyle what happened, all he had to say was Austin is an idiot and he'll eventually come around and prove he's sorry, it just apparent takes time for him to realize he's in the wrong. No matter how many times I tell him he's wrong, he won't believe it. He needs to come to that conclusion himself.
As if it's a difficult thing to determine. I don't see how he could not think what he did was wrong. He slept with her, after telling me he liked me. What am I supposed to do? Be all happy, invite her for a threesome.
I mean God, what does he want from me?
"Stop thinking so much, you're wrinkling your forehead" Kyle rubs his thumb between my eyebrows, which I didn't realize had be scrunched in thought this entire time.
"Sorry" I sigh.
"How about we hang out tonight? Go to the club?" He suggests.
"I can't" I shrug.
"Why not?" He asks.
"I'm only 20, they won't let me in" I answer and his eyes widen.
"You're only 20?" He asks in surprise and I nod "I thought you were at least 22"
"Nope"
"Aw, you're the baby here" He coos, pinching my cheeks.
"I am?"
"Yeah, Dan, Will, Austin, Ella, and I are all 22. Tyler and Danielle are 23 and Max, Lillian, Margaret and Brit are 24"
"Aw man" I pout.
"Don't worry, before you, Austin was the baby" He chuckles "That probably doesn't make things better does it?" He shakes his head "Sorry, I'm stupid sometime"
"It's alright" I shrug "Not your fault he's an asshole"
"I know, but he's like my brother you know? Like an annoying little brother that you look out for and feel responsible for when they do something stupid"
"Don't feel responsible" I place my hand on his shoulder, lightly kissing his cheek "This was his decision and it's not your fault. Let's do dinner instead, then you can drink and I can eat" I laugh and he grins, nodding.
"Cool, and you can tell me all about Kylie" He wiggles his eyebrows and I giggle.
"I will" I nod, putting on my whistle and walking out towards the pool. I bump into a body and huff, already knowing its Austin "Thought you didn't have work today" I roll my eyes.
"I don't. I came here for Kyle" He pushes past me, and I scoff, walking up to sit on my post. I look over to see Austin stomping over to me, an angry look on my face.
"So, you're pissed at me and to get revenge you try to date my best friend?" He grits and I look at him like he's crazy.
"Where'd you get that idea?" I scoff.
"He just told me you two were going out tonight"
"Okay, and we are. But as friends, not everyone is trying to get a fuck in Austin. Get over yourself" I roll my eyes "And even if I did want to, it's none of your goddamn business" I shrug "So, if you'd excuse me, I have to do my job" I cross my arms over my chest.

"Hey, you look nice" Kyle compliments and I laugh.
"Kyle, you don't have to compliment me, we're not going on a date"
"Right, sorry" He chuckles "In that case, let's go bitch" He sasses and I laugh harder, walking out to my car. We drive to a restaurant and get a table, both of us loving this place so we already know what we're going to get. We ordered, the waitress coming back with our drinks rather quickly.
"So, tell me about Kylie" Kyle takes a drink from his beer bottle and I rub my hands together.
"Hmm, where do I start?" I laugh "She's honestly so great. I've known her for 17 years and I've literally never met anyone with a heart as big as hers. She's so sweet and funny, she can be a bitch at times, but honestly who can't?"
"What does she like?" He asks, his head turning to look behind him.
"She likes simple things, one flower over a whole bouquet, a chocolate bar over a huge box of chocolates. She'd take a skirt over a necklace any day. She's easy to please" I shrug, looking at Kyle as he looks behind me "What are you looking at?"
"There's a guy that keeps walking back and forth along the aisle, looking at you, I can't believe you haven't not noticed" He chuckles "Here he comes again" He mumbles, and I watch as he passes, only seeing the back of his head.
"Want me to talk to him for you? I'll be your wing man" He laughs, but I shake my head.
"No, I'm honestly not interested in dating someone" I shrug and he raises his eyebrows at me "I know, but he was just there and I did like him, but it not working out just proved I'm better off single"
"That's not true, you deserve to have fun"
"Even if I do, I really would rather have fun while single. If I'm completely honest, I wouldn't have even wanted to be like boyfriend and girlfriend with Austin" I admit and he looks at me with widened eyes.
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want a boyfriend" I answer "Every one I had didn't work out, and as you can see, a potential one didn't work either. I'm meant to be single"
