I apologize for how long this took, I've been super busy so when I updated I went for stories where the chapters didn't take long (less than an hour) but I have some free time because I only have 4 days of school left :)

It's mid late June, and I'm currently sitting in the faculty building of the pool, listening to Britney drag on about how she wants our annual fourth of July party to go. Austin awkwardly stares at me from across the room, trying to be discreet but not exactly being successful. Things between the two of us have been pretty weird since I came back.
From the time he left from visiting me, we didn't see each other, but only talked on the phone. Austin hasn't mentioned his confession of loving me, but neither have I, instead it seems as though we pretend it never happened.
Part of me is frustrated, as we just act like friends. We talk like friends, we hang out like friends, and that's not what I want. But I don't necessarily know how to bring it up to him, as I've heard he's got a new girlfriend.
It could be a lie, but word around the pool is he's got someone new, and is planning on bringing her to the party.
I'm not sure how I'd react if he brings someone, I don't want to make it seem like it bothers me, but in all honesty, it'd probably bother me.
Britney finishes her speech about her plans, and dismisses us all to go home. I grab my bag from my locker and throw it over my shoulder, tying my wet hair into a bun to keep it from dripping down my shoulders.
"Hey, Lennon" Austin grabs my shoulder, and I turn around to face him.
"Hmm?" I hum.
"Wanna get something to eat with me and the guys?" He asks, and I look back at Kyle and Dan.
"Sure" I shrug.
"Woohoo!" Kyle cheers, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. He spins around in circles and I laugh.
"Put me down!" I squeal, slapping his back.
"Sorry, sorry, I got a little excited" He sits me down and I laugh.
"Alright, let's go" Austin says and we all walk out of the faculty building. Everyone walks to Austin's car and I stand confused before Dan speaks up.
"We're going to Austin's and we normally just stay over there, but since you're going, one of us can stay sober to drive you back here" He says, and I nod. They let me have the front seat, and I chuckle, putting on my seatbelt.
After a semi long drive we pull up to a beautiful house, one that makes my jaw drop. Everyone gets out of Austin's car, while I stand, still in shock.
"Like it?" Kyle chuckles and I nod "Austin designed it himself, with help of Meghan of course, she's an interior designer"
"Wow" I say.
Who's Meghan?
"The inside's better, come on" He lightly pushes me towards the front door, Dan and Austin already inside and in the kitchen.
"This place is so pretty" I gush, and Austin laughs.
"Thank you"
Austin makes food, and brings it all to the table we're sitting at, Dan bringing each of us a beer. I grab the bottle opener and open mine, passing it to Kyle before taking a swig.
"I'm glad you're not one of those girls that only likes fruity drinks" Kyle snorts "If Meghan was here, she'd flip shit, and make one of us so go to get her something" He laughs.
"Yeah, I'm a beer kinda girl" I shrug with a chuckle.
There goes that name again.
"Speaking of Meghan, are you bringing her to the fourth party?" Kyle asks, and Austin looks at me for a split second before looking back to Kyle.
"Uh, yeah, I think so. She said she wanted to come" He shrugs, looking back to me, but I look away quickly. I pick at my food, and occasionally take a drink form my beer, until we're all finished eating and decide to do something else.
We all sit together on Austin's couch, Austin sitting very close to me. Kyle turns on the playstation, handing each of us a controller before picking out a game.
"Let's go with a classic" He says, putting in Call of Duty. He comes back and sits beside me, laying his back against me, and spreading his legs along the sofa. The game begins, and we all concentrate to win, Kyle cursing every time he gets shot.
"Fuck this shit! I'm getting another beer, anyone want one?" He stands up, tossing his controller onto the couch.
"Me!" Dan and I say in unison.
"Me too" Austin says. Kyle nods and walks into the kitchen, grabbing the beers and bringing them back into the living room.
"Looks like you're staying here too, Cupcake" He kisses my cheek, and I laugh.
After a couple more hours of playing video games, we're all fighting to keep our eyes open. Dan and Kyle announce they're going to bed, walking to Austin's guest room.
"I've only got one guest room, so you can take my room and I'll stay out here" Austin says, but I shake my head.
"I'm fine out here"
"Lennon"
"Really, it's your house" I shrug, and he sighs.
"Fine" He stands up, tossing the beer bottles into the trash "Goodnight" He smiles.
"Goodnight" I say, grabbing the blanket and covering myself with it as I lay down.
Just as I'm almost fully asleep, I feel my body being lifted from the couch "Put me down" I whine "I told you I was fine" I mumble.
"I don't want you sleeping on my couch" Austin lays me down in his bed. He covers me up, and tucks me in, and I sigh, snuggling deeper into the comfy mattress.
"Goodnight" He says again.
"Goodnight"
The next morning I wake up with a yawn, stretching out my limbs. I stand up and walk out of Austin's room, hearing him in the kitchen.
"Kyle, you need to stop mentioning Meghan" Austin sighs, and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
"Why? I doubt she'd mind"
"Yeah, but I do" He says.
"Hey Lennon" Dan says behind me, and soon Kyle and Austin are coming out of the kitchen to see the two of us.
"Hey" Kyle smiles, and I give him one in return.
"Morning" Austin says.
"Good morning" I mumble.
"So, how about we stop for breakfast before work?" Austin suggests, and we all agree, gathering out stuff to get ready to leave"
