Angela

By the time I had finished in the office, everything was sorted for London Fashion week and I couldn't control my excitement to go both because I could see different collections and because I was going with Grayson. However Scarlett was going to be there and I will need to remind myself to be polite since Eleanor is her Step Mum which is something that I will never be able to wrap my head around.

The sound of my phone vibrating on my desk awakens me from my thoughts and Clarissa sends me a harsh look as her fingers type away on her laptop, planning a get away for her and her friends somewhere hot and exotic is what she had said she wanted. I pick up my phone and 'Grayson' reads on the screen and I swipe accept before standing and walking into the small bathroom which was to the left of my desk.

"Grayson." I breathe, relieved to be out of the office which had been heating up as people came in and out of Eleanor's office.

"Angela." His voice sounds deeper through the phone and I can hear the smirk which sits on his face as I can hear his light breathes. "I hope you treated yourself this morning."

"I did thankyou, I'll pay you back. Your driver used your credit card." I bite my bottom lip and I can imagine him sitting back in his plush chair, feet on his desk as he knocks his head back to drink the whisky that has been poured into a coffee mug.

"No need. Think of it as a gift, an early birthday present." I didn't like talking to Grayson over the phone, I liked looking at his face as he talked, lips apart, slowly moving and eyes staring into mine making my chest ache.

"My birthdays in March, technically Christmas is earlier so I'll think of it as an early Christmas present." I grin before putting the toilet seat down before sitting on it.

"I know, March 24th and are you being smart with me Miss Downing?" I can imagine a smug smile playing on his lips however my eyebrows furrow not remembering when I told him my birthday. "Christina." He simply tells me answering my unspoken question and I smile to myself at the thought of him scribbling it down on his calender or trying to remember it.

"Of course, why didn't I think of that."

"I am not quite sure. I called to ask when you may be finished so I can tell my driver."

"In an hour or so, the office is becoming empty but Eleanor hasn't left yet." I hear Grayson's heavy intake of breathe when I mention Eleanor and I wonder if he knows that I know that she is Scarlett's Step Mum or if it's because of something happening on the other side of the phone.

"Good, I shall see you tonight. I will also have my driver take you to your apartment before so you can pack some clothes into a bag." My bite my cheeks from hiding my smile even though he can't see me and my stomach fluttered at the thought of having my own drawer at Grayson's house with my clothes in and having a certain side of the bed where I would sleep, a certain spot of the sofa, a place to keep my shoes or my favourite food in the cupboard.

"Is that that a question or a demand?" I tease and I'm beginning to like this Grayson, playful yet shy. Vulnerable to falling in love. Yet his mood quickly changes, one minute he is kissing my forehead the next he is shouting at someone or clenching his fist in anger.

"Mr Dolan.." A sweet feminine voice calls and a giggle after in the background of Grayson's call, "Just hang up already." I twist my lips. I can't be jealous, I shouldn't because he isn't even mine.

"Just text me and be at my house." His voice suddenly turned cold before he immediately ends the call and I'm left astonished, confused and hurt.

"Ok then." I say to myself, sighing before locking my phone and standing, pressing the back of my hand against my forehead as I'm left in wonder.
