My eyelids felt heavy as they fluttered open, the sun shining through the thin curtains and I cringed at the bright light. Turning over, the sound of silence waving throughout my ears as I face nothing but ruffled sheets and my heart sinks. It was stupid of me to think that he would have been there, his mouth slightly parted as quiet snores leave his lips and his eyes drooped closed.

"Finally!" Christina sighs in relief and I look at her figure as she stands in a blue silk dressing gown, her hair tied back in a clip. "I wasn't sure whether to wake you or not." She giggles, her hands holding a mug of coffee before she lays in the bed beside me.

"Thanks." I whisper as she passes me my own mug of steaming coffe and I sit up, keeping the duvet wrapped around my body.

"Ethan and Gray went to by tickets to the ball we're going to go to tonight." She rambles on like she had in the car to Ethan even though he was only listening to the way the words tumbled off her tongue rather than what she was saying. "So we're going out to buy our dresses!" Her voice becomes high pitched in excitement and my lips curl up in the corners for her.

"A ball?" I ask, not having been to one before let alone gone to a dance.

"Yes! We'll go straight to Guildhall because I booked an appointment to get our hair and makeup done in a salon." She rambles on as she taps her engagement ring on the mug, the tune soundly familiar.

I decided to not tell Christina about last nights events with Grayson, not that I didn't want to but because I liked the thought that it's private, only we know and I would like to keep it that way. A blush rose on my cheeks as I thought about the way he made me feel, the way goosebumps rose on my skin with a single touch.

"What dance do you even do a balls?" I wonder as I sip on my coffee, the hot liquid burning my tongue and I cringe at the pain.

"Slow dancing I think." Christina shrugs before standing up. "Right, you need to get up missy, we need to get dressed and ready, then we can go!" She grips the edge of the duvet before dragging it off me and I let out a scream as the cold air hits me.

"Thankyou!" I call to the taxi driver as I climb out of the car before closing it behind me and I turn to face Christina whose fixing the strap on her backpack. "So, where to first?" I ask as she links her arm with mine and we begin to walk along the path as tourists take pictures of the London buildings.

"There's a Louis Vuitton down the road." She motions towards the sign and I nod my head in response before intaking a long breathe of the cold air. "I miss summer." Christina sighs, a pout on her perfectly dark red coated lips.

"Why didn't you have you wedding in the summer?" I ask as we approach the shop and I see Christina's fingers trail over the dimond on her ring.

"Summer weddings are beautiful but original. Besides we've been engaged long even I will marry him in any weather and in any season." She laughs before we step into the shop which I am suddenly taken back by all of the beautiful clothes in front of me.

"Hi, I'm Amanda." A pretty assistant smiled at us both to which I returned to. "Are you looking for anything in particular?"

"No, just looking thankyou." I reply as Christina pulls be towards the gown section and my eyes set on the gowns.

"Grayson mentioned you this morning at breakfast." Christina admits and I drop the hanger that I had been holding before cursing at myself then picking it up.

"He did?" I ask, a crease in my forehead as I hope that he didn't say anything about last night and I mentally pinch myself for not waking up earlier. "What did he say?"
