Angela

Pink. The colour of rose petals. The fresh smell is sweet and reminds me of summer as I inhale the pure scent.

I had never smelt a smell so sweet, nor had a seen such a beautiful bouquet of flowers. A white silk ribbon tightly holds the green stems together as I grip them in my newly manicured hands.

Gripping my pink silk dress, I walk along the brightly lit hallway. The golden chandelier hangs above my head and glamourise paintings are hung up on the cream walls.

My heels softly sink into the plush carpet as I walk towards the bridal room and my blonde curls bounce with each step. With my palms becoming hot and damp, I shake each one at my sides in attempt to rid my nerves.

I was unsure if I should come, however I wouldn't miss it for the world, not for Christina. From the moment I received the wedding invitation signed from Ethan Dolan and Christina Todd only two months ago, I knew I would have to see his face again but I couldn't do that to Ethan and Christina, they did not do any wrong.

After opening one of the many white doors labelled 'Bridal Room', I enter the dream-like room to reveal Christina grinning excitedly at me as I step inside. The last time I saw Christina was when I left to London, her eyes were puffy and red from crying about her break up and her stomach was swollen from a growing baby bump.

Her shoulders squeeze together and her eyes widen as she stands in her elegant wedding dress, her tanned arms reaching out towards me.

"Ange!" Chris exclaims with excitement and I laugh at her happiness before enveloping her in a hug, my arms tightly wrapping around her dainty and petite body.

I hadn't realised how much I had missed her since today. The everyday texting seemed like we were never apart and her sharing multiple pictures and videos of Evelyn, who is growing at a fast rate. However, now that I was actually here with her, it felt like a lifetime that I was away from her. Away from New York, away from the drama and away from him. I was so distracted in London, that I had almost forgotten to miss it here.

[a/n: if you have forgotten, Evelyn is Ethan and Christina's child who is now 2 years old]

"You look.." I gape in amazement, knowing that Christina would look beautiful on her wedding day and her happiness added to the beauty. "Wow..I just can't believe it." I admit honestly.

However I didn't know what I couldn't believe. That Christina was now a Mother. That she is getting married to her fiancé who she was not with the last time I saw her. That I am actually here with her. That I will see him again. It all felt surreal.

With her cheeks blushing, she wafts her hand in my face to swat me away before her hand holds my own. My eyes pull away from her to look around the room at all of Christina's friends and some family members. I mentally pinch myself and hope that my lack of social interaction for the last two years does not show.

After introducing me to everyone, Christina places a cold glass of prosecco in my fingertips and gives me a wink as I talk to her Mother, Julie, about her Friday night Zumba class. Zumba didn't interest me, nor did any form of exercise accept running however I rarely do that but I felt too rude to admit that to her.

"It's quite good, tiring, but good." She laughs, and I politely smile, not wanting to offend her if I didn't find humour in it.

"I took Evelyn last week but obviously she's too young to join in." She told me and I imagine how Evelyn looks today, in her little pink bridesmaids dress. "My friend took her grandson too so they played together."

"That's sweet." I smile, knowing that Christina would have hated being away from her daughter for more than an hour. "Where is Evelyn?"

"She's with Ethan." Her lips curl into a proud smile and I take a sip of my bubbling drink, the taste making my eyes squint. "She's a Daddy's girl and her uncle, Grayson, loves her to pieces."
