Chapter 17

India P.O.V

It was finally July third I was so happy I would be seeing Bishop tomorrow . Cali was going to cookout we were going to stay till five then leave and do our own thing with Keke and her boo .It's now three fifteen in the evening . I was picking out my outfit for dinner tonight . It was going to be Cali , Keke , Keke's Mom and I . I think Cali said something about his friend coming . I didn't care thought I was more in it for the food . I finally got my makeup down packed . Mac was truly a blessing .

Keke kept running in my room asking what should she wear we had to be formal wear due to the fancy restaurant we were going to . I didn't mind I just wanted this day to go fast so I could be with Bishop . We been texting non stop today . We joked about how he wasn't invited to dinner . Bishop couldn't take what I was going to wear we would've ended up fucking in the bathroom .I was wearing a half white half black dress that fit my body nicely while Keke was wearing an all white dress with ruffles .

Time was flying I ended up talking to Bishop on the phone for three hours . I got off early to do Keke's hair and makeup . I put her hair up in nice bun while mines was curls for days . I did a natural makeup on both of us . Kay Kay was dressed in a purple gown showing off her curves . Cali cleaned up nice he was looking so sharp" he might cut you " . Kay Kay kept teasing him the whole ride to the restaurant . It took us about thirty minutes to get to the restaurant . The place was beautiful . Keke and I giggled to our selves seeing Cali hugging and kissing on Brooke. Her and her family were joining us for dinner . Cali didn't mention that .

Cali took a seat at one end while Kay Kay took a seat at the other end . Brooke was closest to Cali . The menu sounded good .I didn't know what to get . Keke was thinking the same we were both stuck on two things , We both agreed to get one and let each other taste it . My phone start buzzing I was getting ready to check it but Cali said he had an announcement. I knew there was a reason for this dinner . I took a spit of my water and gave him my attention .

Cali smiled and took Brookes hand . Aw they're getting married . "Brooke and I are expecting " . Expecting ? "Expecting what ?" Brookes father gave me a weird look . Cali lauged " A Baby India" . Brooke smiled as Kay Kay leaned over and rubbed her stomach .Don't get me wrong I was happy . But for some reason it had a touch of hurt to me . I think It was the fact Brooke was going to be a mom and I thought about my mom . I haven't heard from her . I missed her but I was still mad at her . I was mad at her for not taking my side she came at me .I felt like I was going to throw up . I quickly got up and raced to the bathroom .

-Cali P.o.v-

I thought India would be happy . I looked over at Brooke she gave me a weak smile . I got up and stopped both Keke and Kay from following behind India . Instead I followed India's footsteps . I knocked on the woman's bathroom to make sure nobody was in there . I stepped in slowly just in case . I saw India was in the handicap stall .

"India " she didn't answer . I knocked on the door but it opened up instead . I made my way inside kneeing down to India's level .I know this a nice restaurant but she shouldn't be on the floor . She wouldn't look at me . I pushed her hair back to see tears racing down her face . "i'm not mad " she said just above a whisper . " Then what's wrong India " . She took a deep breathe whipping her tears . Before she could speak Kay came running in . I knew she couldn't stay away . She ran to India side hugging her . I was about to speak up but India started to speak . She explained how the news made her think of her mom . I knew India was still hurt who wouldn't be . I felt bad India was at one point very close to her mom but her mom destroyed it . She ruined ever chance of them ever getting fixed when she came at India in the hospital . Lika truly needed help . Its a shame they cant be close .

I had to leave the rest room . I went to the table to check on Brooke . I explained to her why India ran off . She said she had some type of clue . I kissed Brooke's cheek rubbing her stomach . Minutes late India came back to the table and apologized to Brooke .
