Chapter 20

In life, most of the things that put as down to the extreme, are most of the times the force meant for our kick back to the greatest height.
It wasn't anything Mya expected. She thought it would be the normal camping with games and challenges, and being woken up early to jog and work out.
The three of them had been received warmly by an eastern looking girl who introduced herself as Tania and led into a hall with logos and flags of the company and most of the walls had different photos of the same eastern old couple.
The briefing from Tania was simple. "I will just show you where to put your bags and then show you to the hall where every one is gathering for the main briefing"
Shocker:There was no privacy at all. The girls were all sleeping in one hall with more than 40 beds in. Calvin had been led to the boys' room. Tania smiled back at Mya and Ariel. Pick any bed you like as long as there is no luggage on it. Bathrooms are at the end of the hall but since you came late, you will probably freshen up after briefing.
Ariel looked up to Tania innocently, "my sister wont be happy. Normally, she cant even stand a roommate." Tania just smiled and watched as they chose beds and led them to the hall. She had seen worse and the elder of the two looked complicated.
Mya wasn't too shocked when she entered the hall and every one was seated on the carpet. She thought to herself. If this isn't eastern culture. More to that, they were separated where by the boys sat on the right side of the hall and the girls sat at the left. She scanned the audience looking for a spot to sit. Most of the girls looked comfortable like they had been here before while afew really looked like they were still absorbing the environment around them.
She had just sat down when the guy that looked like their instructor came in. He was in robes. Wow. He is now giving them something like a half courtesy bow and he begins talking.
"The universal peace federation is an international NGO aiming at creating a peaceful world. It was founded in Korea so that's why we use mostly eastern culture because its more peaceful and humble. While we are here, we refer to each other as brother and sister. I will shortly introduce to you the staff I'm working with but before that, I am going to divide you into four groups named after the four greatest religious scholars of all time, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, and Confucius. Check the notice board after here to know in which group you lie."
Below the groupings, you will find a table, showing the task that will be done by each group on a daily basis. Below that,will be our daily schedule. I will go through it here and its compulsory for everyone. We wake up at 4:30, prepare ourselves, that is shower, dress and all and then make sure by 5:00 you are in this hall. We pray for 15 minutes, read and share for 30 minutes, meditate for 30 minutes, and move out to do our group tasks at 6:00. Breakfast is at 7:00. More group tasks from 7:30 to 8:00. 8:15 we are here. Lectures till 1:00pm. Lunch for 30 minutes. Group tasks 30 minutes. 2:15 we are here till 5:00. Individual tasks like Laundry, for an hour. Martial arts with an instructor, for each group for an hour. Supper, at 7:15, group tasks after 30 minutes of supper for 30 minutes. 8:30pm we are here. Pray, reflect on the day and meditate. 9:30pm, released to go and rest.
One of the girls in front raised her hand and asked, are we building an army? He just laughed and said. Yaay, peace ambassadors. To be considerate, i will an extra cup of tea at 11:00am and 4:30pm. The groups will be awarded marks according to their task efficiency and will be awarded at the end of the camp. We will spend here 28 days. And finally here is the staff am working with.
It wasn't a long list. 4 people in the kitchen. The group instructors. Tania and kang tae for coordinators in the sister's and brother's rooms and the lecturer.
Mya leant against the wall and said to herself. "This gotta be interesting peace ambassador."
