Chapter 4

The more time you spend with some one,
The more you get to know their better side.

Mya was shocked when she got in her cube and found Racheal dosing on her bed. She was really shocked.
"look who is here.!" She sized her up.
Nightingale was a big hall with a dozen cubicals on each side of the corridor and a big dormitory hall at the end.

The cubicals had four students in each and each three cubicals shared two bathrooms and toilets. The bigger dormitory used to contain mostly fresh grade one students and a few grade twos who couldn't find space in the Cubicals after first year ,plus the assistant captain chosen from the remaining grade twos.

Racheal had brought some biscuits with her to Mya's cube hoping to reconcile and make friends with her but had been very surprised when she didn't find her.

With all the patience she could master,she had waited.
The cube mates were only Judie and Freeta who knew her from class and Sandra who was two grades above them and all pretended as if they never even noticed her presence.
Time dragged on and sleep was catching up, and she ended up dosing.

She woke up to the sound of some one shouting "bitch.!" in her ear as they poked her and was surprised to find her self on Mya's bed. Then it slowly came back to her and she suddenly remembered why she had come.
"bad start again" she grunted to herself.

Mya was staring at her like a ghost and she needed to at least say something. Explain her reason for being where she was found.
she cleared her throat.
"Ummm I'm so sorry I guess I dozed off after waiting for long I lost track of time." Rachel stammered.  The cubemates were watching this whole drama interestingly.

No reply, she just keeps staring."do you plan on making it hard for me?" Racheal thought.
After a few minutes, Mya looked like she had recovered and asked." Waiting for what?"

"For you ,ummm, peace offering" Racheal showed Mya the biscuit.
Mya laughed dryly and was like
"are you out of your mind?"
when in her mind she was like
" my scuits just got done.I could get what to eat at least tomorrow"

"No"Racheal replied, "I'm not crazy.but for some unknown reason.I seem to be disturbing the serenity of your class.I really want to know them.how they do everything so I won't feel out of space."

She knew she had said enough already but couldn't seem to stop." Looks like we had a bad start.can we start over again? I'm Racheal Kay."and she held out her hand.

It took a while and as she almost gave up.
Mya shook it. "Mya. You will hear my second name later."
All this time .Racheal was on Mya's bed and Mya is undressing. When she had put on her night gown,she came over and said "move,remember this is my bed".

"And more to that peace offering accepted" and she shoved the biscuit in her side drawer.
From the look in the eye.she knew Racheal was some how
Surprised.
she raised her eye brows at her,"you wanted some of the scuit?"

"No." Racheal answered.
"Are you a lesbian"
Answer "No"
"Girl, its close to lights out. You better go.!nyts .see you around."

"K.good night Mya."and she left.
In her heart,it was just the beginning.
