I hate going to work on the weekends.
Siguro kung yung ibang tao ginagawa lang nila yung trabaho nila ng maayos eh di sana nasa bahay ako ngayon at nagpapahinga. Mag-isa.
Or nagbabasketball. Mag-isa.
Nanunuod ng movie. Mag-isa.
Kaumakain. Mag-isa.
Oo, these past months lahat ng ginagawa ko, mag-isa na lang ako. Nakakalungkot. Hindi ako sanay. Pero wala eh.
Then dagdag pa yung tons of paperwork na kailangan kong tapusin at pag-aralan and there is no one around to help me sort it out.
Man, I badly need a new Paralegal. An ugly, fat, old Paralegal.
Perhaps a male Paralegal. Yes! An old, bald, male Paralegal na kakausapin lang ako kapag kailangan na kailangan ko syang kausapin.
I'm still in the process of hiring a new one after I had fired my last one.
The memory of that situation hit me like a ton of breaks as I turned around in my chair and looked out the large windows that offer me the beautiful view of New York City.
It was that night. That one fucking night.
Muntik na kong mapasigaw nung natapos ko yung huling reply na tinype ko sa e-mail. This means I could go home and spend the night with my wife.
I looked at the clock in my office and alam ko naghihintay na sakin si Mika sa bahay kasi I told her na lalabas kami tonight. I told her I'll take her to dinner for our third year anniversary.
The thought made me smile as I began to shut down my computer and collect my paperwork into my briefcase.
May kumatok sa pinto ng office ko and nung nakita ko kung sino yon, nagulat ako. It was Trinca Diploma. She was an old friend but we didn't have a constant communication since she left Philippines and studied abroad to get her Law Degree.
She's smiling at me seductively as she stepped into my office and she made sure na sinara nya yung pinto. I watched her in confusion as she started walking over to me.
"Trinca, I thought you left." I said. Everyone else in the office had already gone home for the weekend.
She shrugged and winked. Seryoso ba syang kinindatan nya ko? "I didn't like the thought of leaving you here all alone eh." She came around the desk at tumayo sa harapan ko.
Alam ko naman na may gusto sakin si Trinca, it was painfully obvious. Even si Mika napansin na yon. But I always tried to be polite about it kasi kahit papaano may pinagsamahan kami ni Trinca.
So I reassured myself more, as well as Mika, na wala dapat syang alalahanin. Little did I know she would come cornering me in my own office where no one was around us to hear me scream.
"Trinca this is very inappropriate. Not to mention that I'm married." Pinagdiinan ko yung last word na sinabi ko para maintindihan nya na wala akong balak patulan sya because I'm married and I love my wife so much.
I tried to get up and leave but she pushed my shoulders back down before shrugging out of her dress and straddling me in nothing but a skimpy piece of black lace lingerie.
