I groaned and flipped over onto the other side of the bed and put the covers further over my head, willing the noise to go away.

I tried putting a pillow on my face, but it is no use.
I looked over at the alarm clock on my bedside table and nearly groaned again. It's 7:55 on a Saturday morning. Who in the hell is calling me at this ungodly hour on a Saturday morning?
With a heavy sigh, I fumbled around my bed to look for my phone.
I had fallen asleep talking to one of the managing editors for the magazine I worked for here in New York and I was too tired to put it on my dresser to charge.
Finally nahanap ko yung phone ko and I squinted through sleep eyes to check the caller I.D. It's a call from viber.
Of course. Jessey.
I sighed again and answered. "Hello?"
"Good morning to my beautiful best friend!" Jessey's voice rang out on the other line.
"My God, Jessey, it's almost 8 in the evening there. Hindi pa ba ubos energy mo?" I demanded.
"Nope. Duh BF? When did I ran out of energy? Plus ngayon ako tumawag so that, that way, it's almost 8 in the morning there. I didn't want to call you too early." The little pixie giggled.
"Well 8 o'clock is still pretty early if you haven't noticed." I pointed out angrily, throwing the covers off of myself and walked towards the bathroom.
"Hay nako, Miks. It's only early if you are lazy." She said, emphasizing the last word.
I shook my head and smiled at her antics as I began washing my face and holding the phone to my ear. "Okay well now that you've succeeded in waking me from my wonderful slumber, ano po bang maipaglilingkod ko sa inyo?" I asked.
"Kim and I are getting married!" She sang out excitedly.
My mouth fell open and I almost dropped the phone.
Jessey and Kim had been dating since college and I always knew they would eventually tie the knot, actually everyone did. We're all just waiting for it to be official—and now, it is!
"Oh my God, BF! That's amazing! About time, Jessey Laine. About damn time." I replied excitedly.
"I know! Well, it's going to be a July wedding and—"
"Wait, wait, wait..." I interjected her excitement. "July? Jess, it's already the beginning of June. Hindi ba masyadong mabilis?" I asked cautiously.
She laughed softly. "Mika... true love does not wait. Dun din naman pupunta yun eh, bakit pa namin patatagalin? You know this. Speaking of which, where is Manong? Hindi nya sinasagot yung tawag ko, gusto ko pa naman i-share sa kanya tong good news na to. For sure he'll be super happy also."
