Can't Catch Me

Chapter 15

"Come on." I said pulling one of Coreys arms over my sholder with my hand behind his back. His head was lolling and his feet were dragging. I could hear Black Inc's men coming closer. "Corey hurry up!" I told him, carrying more of his weight then he was. I dragged him through the forrest as quickly a I could. I was terrified. I didn't know if I would be able to lug Corey's ass through the woods. "We need to get you out of here." I mumbled to myself. A man burst through the woods and quick as lightning, Quinnie wrapped her body around his neck and tightened. I heard a snap and the man fell to the ground. We were in a dark out cropping. That gave me an idea. "Corey..." I said quietly. "Do you think you can-" I couldn't finish because Quinnie wrapped around him and Zedd jumped into my arms without warning and I nearly dropped him. Then we were taken into the cool darkness.

As we traveled through the forrest as shadows I could once again feel the dizziness coming apon me. I looked over at Corey but all I could see was darkness. Coreys poisoned I kept telling myslef. And I won't be able to tell after this.

We traveled a fair distance. I dont even know when or why we stopped, but it was dark. And I was dizzy. I tried to stand but fell right to my knees. Corey was falling face first to the floor. I didn't know if that was from the trip or the... or the... or the what? There had to be something I forgot... something important.... something... bad. Oh well. If I couldn't remember, it probably wasn't that important. I tried to catch Corey but my hands seemed to go right through him. I heard a thump and saw he was on the floor. He tried to get up but in the end he gave up and stayed on the floor. He giggled. I giggled. I tried to ease myself onto the floor but I gave up and colapsed. We lied their for a few minutes and then I used a sign to hold onto as I stood up.

Zedd, what does this sign say? I asked

Welcome to the Motel Angel. He replied

Should we go in?

Quinnie and I will check and make sure that it is safe. You both be careful

As Quinnie and Zedd went to the hotel
to scout, I let go of the pole with one hand and put the other in front of my face. Well, I thought it was one hand. I actually had 3 or 4 fuzzy hands in front of me. I put them down and looked at Corey. He had drool coming out the side of his mouth. I reached up to see if I was the same. I couldn't tell. I wondered if the further you traveled, the more dizzy you were? I didn't know. "Corey." I slured. "Come on. Get up." I kicked him and he giggled. He grabbed my foot and tried to pull me down.

Its safe to come in. Zedd said in my mind. There is no one here and all the rooms are empty.

I looked at Corey again. "Lets go-" Suddenly we faded into darkness once again
