My head jerked up with a start. The flame died in my palm and I stood up. I stumbled backwards and almost fell over the park bench. "Uhhh..." I said thinking for and excuse as to why I was in the back garden, alone with a flame in my hand. Oh shit. I thought Oh shit!
Is my secret finally out? Can 1 boy be the cause of my destruction? I was so careful! But the boy just stood there with his hands behind his back, watching me. "Uhh..." I said again. I tried to put on my best professional voice and I stood up straighter, so I could look taller. "Can I help you?" I said professionally "What are you doing here?". But it really came out as a squeak. I had just taken a look at his looks. He was wearing an All Time Low T-shirt and jeans. He had long black hair and bright blue eyes. He was tall and he had a pair of headphones around his neck. I chocked. He stared at me. I looked away. I took a deep breath and said "Well? Answer my question.". He just stood there. "I was given permission from one of the teachers." he said. "Why are you here?" I looked away thinking that if I lied and said I stole it I would get some credit with the new guy. But eventually I sighed. "Same reason." I said finally. He looked at me some more, trailing his eyes up and down my body. I felt suddenly nervous. I felt my face and ears go red. I was very aware of what I was wearing. A short pink puffa-jacket on top of a blue top and a pair of blue Jeans. I had my straight brown hair down and my plain brown headband on. "Why?" The boy asked. "Because I needed to..." I replied confused. Didn't he know? "Why?" He asked again. I blinked. "I got angry and I needed to calm down before I slapped a bitch." I said totally straight faced although I was squirming inside. "Why?" He asked again, with no change of expression. Now I was really started to get annoyed. This boy is such a big nose! I thought. "Because I get angry a lot and bad things happen when I get angry." He was quiet at that. I waited for what I knew would come next. "Why?" "Because" I snapped. I felt the heat in my hands intensify. I closed my eyes and counted to 10 again. When I opened them, the boy was still there. His hands were still behind his back. I thought I could see something moving behind him. I tried to look behind him but he shifted so I couldn't see. He sighed deeply but after a moment he finally said "The same reason as you. For all of them." I was surprised at. He didn't look like the kind of guy to get angry easily. I blinked and tilted my head to the side. I was about to say something else but then we heard the door open and a teacher stuck her head in. "Oi!" She called out to us "What are you doing here? Don't you know this garden is off limits to students?" I looked at the boy and he looked at me. At the same time, we held up the keys we were given by the teachers that told others that we had permission to enter the garden. All the teachers had different keys. Mrs Charles had a red one. I looked over a the boy again. He had a black one, Mr Diggs. I looked back at the teacher and she made a face then disappeared back behind the door. We were still standing there when the bell rang and we ran to the door so we weren't late for our next class.
