I turned to face Cindy and spat blood out of my mouth. I stood up straighter. I looked her in the eyes and said "You really should not have done that" I was about to raise my hand and light it before Mrs Charles came pushing threw the circle, blowing her whistle. "Luna!" She cried as she reached me. She put her back to me and turned around to face Cindy. "Detention young lady!" She yelled at her shocked face "Go! Now!" As Cindy turned and walked away Miss turned to me. "Luna relax." I tried to as she dispersed the crowd with another blow of he whistle. They walked away with groans and complaints. She then turned to me again. "Deep breaths Luna. Deep breaths." After a moment she looked at me again and asked "Do you need to cool off?" I nodded and she gave me the keys to the back garden. I took them and walked towards the garden. I was faintly aware of a boy I hadn't seen before staring at me. I unlocked the door and went inside. I sat down and opened my palm and a small flicker of flame sprouted from between my palms. I sat there a while and I was about to leave when a voice I hadn't heard before said "Hello."
