Kaira

When I regain consciousness, I see the girl who rescued me. I stare at her. She's pretty, with blond hair dyed with red streaks. She has the same gray eyes as me.

She looks around and sees me staring at her. "Finally awake, are we?" she asks. I answer her question with questions of my own.

"Who - who are you, anyway? And where are we?"

She smirks. "We're in your school gym, can't you see?"

I look around and see that she's right. I ask again,"Who are you?"

"You'll find out soon enough," she answers.

She starts muttering something under her breath. I don't know what it was, but it made me feel warm. Really, what is happening? The wall starts shimmering.

"Magic," I breathe.

"Figured it out, have you?" she smirks. "Now come on, or our portal destination will change!"

I stagger to my feet woozily. She sighs exasperatedly and carries me through the wall as if it didn't exist. We get deposited in a grassy field.

She looks around and screams angrily, "Now look what you've done! You held us up too long and now we're in the Elementlands! We're in another dimension of Netherlands!" I shrink back, scared. Mood swings much?

She looks at me sadly. "At least I know a place here," she mutters. She squints around and locates a house in the distance. She points at it. "That's where we're going," she tells me. I nod in response.

We jog in silence for some time. Finally I gather the courage to ask a question. "You still haven't told me who you are," I say.

"I'm Charlene, and what's your name?" I have a feeling that she already knows the answer to that question but I answer her anyways.

"I'm Kaira. How did you know where to find me?"

"Er, I have a special mental connection to you. I'm your sister."
