Chapter 8

Kyle

I've just been summoned to Guardian's office. I've never been summoned there, or been there, so I'm really  nervous.

I hesitantly push open the door and see two girls there with Guardian. I can see that they look like sisters but the one with the blonde hair catches my eye. She's tall and really pretty. I can feel my cheeks becoming red.

"Hello Kyle, thank you for coming and I'm sorry to deprive you of your training but there is something very important I have for you to do," says Guardian."Will you do it?"

Anything to be near that blonde girl, I think, she's the prettiest girl that has walked this planet. I feel embarrassed to be thinking that , what's wrong with me? " I - I will, of course," I stammer.

Really, what was wrong with me? I just blew my first impression with this girl!

"Well, I'll leave the three of you to get acquainted," says Guardian.

"Oh no, I've got to pack... Sorry, Kyle, can't talk now," says the blonde girl. The girl next to her just smiles.

"My name is Charlene, by the way and this is my sister Kaira," she says, pointing at the girl beside her. I flush. Was I really so weird that she didn't even want to introduce herself to me?

"Oh, all right," I say shyly. She leaves the room. I get my first good look at the other girl. She has long brown hair and is pretty too, just not as pretty as her sister.

She smiles at me. "So, how old are you?" she asks. I stare at her. We were going on a mission and she wanted to get to know me?

"Uh, I'm 16. You?" "I'm 15." "So, how long have you been here?" I ask. "Three months," she says with a smile, "and you?" "I've been here two years."

She's really easy to talk to. Before I can ask her another question I can hear her sister (The pretty blonde girl, I think her name was Charlene) shouts at her to come and pack. She says bye and runs along to find her sister.

Looks like I need to pack my bag. Let's hope I can develop a relationship with Charlene by the end of this mission.
