I don't know why I feel disappointed to be leaving. I mean, it's a dream come true! I guess maybe my time over here in the Netherlands was really magnificent and I finally felt like I fit in and was important in something for once in my life. Anyways, there's no need to be heartbroken we can always go visit Guardian again.
Guardian takes us to the library and mutters something. A book comes flying out and she opens it. "This is the book that has the enchantment to take you back to your dimension, so keep it carefully," she says.
She gestures to me to take the book, but I shake my head. I'm still really clumsy, even with all my training. Somehow, Charlie's as graceful as a panther while hunting. She and I have become inseparable over the past few weeks. Charlene opens the spell book at the index, and runs her finger down the page. "Page one-forty-two," she mutters to herself. She opens the book to page one hundred and forty two and gasps. "What? What is it?" I ask, confused. She wears an expression as if the world has just ended. She looks up at me.
"The page is missing."
