I arrived to the meeting room to find Thomas, Ezra, and Professor Curt waiting on me.

"Sorry, I -" I mumbled off a lame excuse. Thomas and Ezra both smirked at me. Great, they knew. I shouldn't have been surprised.

"She had to sleep." Ezra threw me an evil little smirk. "You know to get her strength back." I sat down next to him and pinched his arm. Ezra smacked my thigh under the table. Thomas cleared his throat, which made us stop.

"I know you are tired but we thought it would be best if we added some extra training sessions with me. I wanted to teach you some other spells." He handed me a list of defensive spells.

"Sure that will be great." I nodded, looking over the list.

"Amelia can keep teach you with Taron. They both are excellent sorcerers and they can teach you some techniques. We will meet later tonight for meditation." Professor nodded enthusiastically. "Dr. Nan also left some instructions. He wants you to practice some techniques with Byron." he handed me a hand-written letter.

"Oh I think they started those this afternoon." Ezra added with a high-pitched voice. I was going to kill him.

"Great. Great. I'm glad you are taking your duties seriously." Professor Curt nodded not paying attention to us. I punched Ezra in the arm. He was shuffling through a stack of papers. Thomas was laughing into his hands. "He also added that you should be thinking about marriage. Have you considered marriage?" Dr. Curt's eyes snapped up at me. Ezra and Thomas both turned to me.

"No" I answered. I lifted the papers but I couldn't read them.

"You should" he encouraged with a smile. "Dr. Nan thinks it will show strength and-"

"I don't need a husband to show that I have strength" my eye was starting to twitch because I was now annoyed. "I'm not getting married" I told him. I put my papers down. "I don't think I'm ready for marriage.... There is too much going on to put on a wedding... I" I hesitated, I couldn't say I didn't have someone because I did but we were just sleeping together. We weren't going to go beyond a physical relationship.

"It will make you stronger...." Professor Curt said slowly. I shook my head at him.

"Marrying me is a long term commitment" I replied. I rubbed my head not wanting to think about it. "It isn't something that I have considered. In fact, I don't have anyone in mind"

Ezra snorted. I felt my shoulders tense not looking at Ezra.

"Let's continue looking over this" I lifted the papers in front of me.

"Fine.....but you'll have to do it sooner or later" Professor Curt told me rather sternly. "Dr. Nan isn't going to drop the subject." I nodded not answering him. We finished going the spells he wanted to teach me and the new practice sessions I needed to have with Byron.

I was glad when we were done.

"Why don't you ask Byron?" Ezra asked me as we walked back to my room.

I kept my eyes in front of me, ignoring him.

"You guys have spent the last few weeks together." Thomas cleared his throat.

"I don't want to talk about my relationship with Byron" I answered. There wasn't much to talk about except that it was a physical relationship. "Do people know?" I asked in spite of myself.

"Nobody knows." Ezra grasped my arm and me look at him. "You've been careful and so has he but you can't keep secrets from us. Not anymore."

I rolled my eyes in response. That was true.
