****This is only quarter of the chapter, but i decided to chop them into seperate chapters for no apparent reason. I'm weird like that.****

Sitting on the sofa in the living room of my house, I flick through the TV channels for a good movie to watch. Adam is beside me, still complaining about the last movie we watched, and how he didn’t like the ending.
“You’re not thinking of going – are you?” Adam asks, narrowing his eyes. I’ve just told him about the party, and since I have nothing to do on Friday night, why not go? My parents don’t mind anyway, they’re actually happy for me going to a party for once and not doing school work.
“Maybe.” I shrug, “What could go wrong?” I ask. He pauses for a minute thinking, then sighs. I hope he could agree going, Jenny and Lisa are going with their boyfriends.
“Tomorrow night…” He trails off. He’s going red, like he’s nervous. “I can’t. I have important things to do.” He finishes.
I raise my eyebrows but don’t press. “It’s okay, I might not go either.” But I really do want to go suddenly… I feel like I need to go. I turn off the TV, and sigh.
“I need to go, it’s getting late.” Adam says, looking at his wrist watch. He gets up and smooths his pants down. It’s only 7:30PM but apparently that’s too late for Adam. He lives only 5 houses down.
“Okay, bye. Say hello to your parents for me.” I say to him when he opens the door. He waves at me and nods, then leaves. I sink onto the sofa, bored out of my mind. It can get pretty boring when you’re the only child and your parents leave you home alone. You’d expect a teenager to throw a party, but I’m not like that and my parents trust me. I don’t know how long I’ve stayed on this sofa but eventually I fall asleep with my mouth open drooling.

I wake up with a blanket on me – My mom or dad must’ve put it on me while I was sleeping. I wipe at my eyes and yawn; it must be still really early, because the sun has barely come up. I sit up and wash my face in the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. Holy shit. I'm so hideous looking, despite my friends brag to me how much i look like my mom. I don’t... My mother; she’s extremely beautiful for her age, 35. I glare at myself in the mirror. I walk upstairs to my room and change into black jeans and a plain white shirt. I decide to let my hair down and straighten it, it’s grown long now.
To kill some time, I eat breakfast then read a book till its 8 so I can leave school. Just a few more hours…
8:00am. I head off to school.
