I wake up in the same position we fell asleep in and I listen to his breathing as he continues to sleep. I just lay in bed, admiring the boy who holds onto me firmly and I think I might actually hear him whine a little when I try to remove myself from the bed, in urgent need of a toilet. I feel like my bladder is about to explode and lean with my hand against the wall as I relieve myself, running the other hand through my messy curls, eventually grabbing a hair tie and pulling my hair into a bun when I've flushed the toilet and washed my hands.

I stroll back into the bedroom to find Louis has turned around in his sleep. I grab my laptop and phone and sit on the bed. I fondle his head admiringly, giving in to wanting to touch the feathery hair and smiling fondly at the sleeping boy. The second I open my Gmail account I regret it when I lay my eyes on the number of unread messages. I choose to just select the ones I deem important and will leave the others for later. A few emails from our management, my assistant requesting approval for several things, a bunch of invitations for premieres, parties and a few from the band, sharing bits and pieces of songs or ideas to improve our songs, ideas for the new album and a shitload of other messages.

I reply to a few emails from my mum and the ones I figured were urgent like an email from my assistant informing me a record label got back to me about buying some of the songs I have written but don't want to use for our band or possible solo stuff in the future. I order some breakfast, unsure of what Louis would like when he wakes up so I just order one of everything. He looks so peaceful and I'm not waking him up because I know he'll go home today and I won't get to see him for a while as our tour continues and we'll be driving across Europe for 5 weeks or so starting tomorrow. The later he wakes up, the longer it'll take for him to go home.

I'm munching on some muesli, not bothered to mix it with some milk or yoghurt when Louis starts to stir, stretching his arms above his head and groans. "Morning sleepyhead," I say and he just groans again, covering himself with the duvet as much as possible. "Someone isn't a morning person" I chuckle. "Shut up" he replies and I pull the duvet off, revealing an angry looking Louis. "Give them back will you?" he says. "No" I answer and throw a few grapes from the tray on my lap towards him, hitting him on his ear and neck. "You sadist" I hear him say as he shoves some of the grapes into his mouth and pulls the blanket back to cover his sunkissed tan body. His grouchy mood stays for another minute or ten before his mood starts to lighten up.

"I'm sorry about yesterday" he starts, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Hmm?" I look up from my screen and give him my full attention. "You know, the thunder and all. I know it's stupid but I just can't help it" he rambles. "Don't be silly. If you get scared and there is a way I can help make you feel better, I will." I offer him a smile and close the laptop so I can lay it on the floor safely. "It was weird because it usually takes Ben a lot longer to calm me down but the smell of green apples helped. Is there some kind of air freshener with that scent?"

I can't help but feel my cheeks turn slightly red when I tell him I use a shampoo with the scent. What I don't tell him is that I have been using it ever since I could remember. Could it be soothing for Louis because it's familiar? Could it help bring back the memories? "Well I like it, you should keep using it" he smiles as he leans over to grab a cold pancake from the tray on the other end of the bed.

I tell Louis I will need to stop by my house to drop off my stuff and start packing for tomorrow as he buys a ticket for the 4 o' clock train, which leaves us with many hours to spare. We both pack our bags and check out of the hotel, we wait for Niall in the lobby so we can share a car home and leave through the back entrance. Liam and Zayn thought it would be safe to exit via the main entrance but were proven wrong when the screams started the second they walked into sight.
