It's my birthday today and to celebrate it I have decided to post an extra chapter this week. Enjoy! :)

After Stan leaves mere minutes later, Louis joins me on the sofa where I've decided to sit instead of just lazily lay on it. "Stan is always trying to be funny but failing miserably," he says, getting comfortable on the large piece of furniture. We end up watching Friends and from the corner of my eye, I can see Louis shiver. "Are you cold?" I question. "A little" he replies and tells me he didn't pack a sweater or hoodie.

I get up from my position on the couch and walk over to my closet, on the hunt for something Louis can wear as well as a blanket. I return with one of my older but incredibly comfortable sweaters and a light blue blanket. I hand him the clothing item and watch him put it on, it's several sizes too big but it looks cute. I drape the blanket over our legs and press play so the episode can continue.

When the 10th episode is coming to an end I'm experiencing difficulty staying awake. I look over at Louis to see I'm not the only one, his eyes slowly closing, head slightly falling to the side but he jolts back up. "You should go to bed" I chuckle. "Don't want to" he replies. "You're actually falling asleep," I tell him. "I just need sugar, I want to stay awake" he replies with a sweet smile. After several cookies, the sugar has yet to kick in. We both don't want to go to sleep and I'm not sure about Louis' motive but I just don't want to waste time sleeping when I can spend it with him.

Louis comes up with the idea to go for a nightly walk to keep us awake and we stroll through the park close to the apartment. "It's dark Lou" I hear twigs snapping, leaves crunching almost like someone is in the bushes, following us. "I'll protect you from all evil" Louis laughs. "I'm serious, I think we're being followed!" I whisper-shout. Louis looks around, pointing the flashlight in every single direction and starts laughing loudly when he looks behind us. "I've found your stalker" he snickers. I turn around and watch a bunny family hop from the left side of the path towards the bushes on the right side. "They look like they're ready to kill. We'd better start running!" he adds. "Oh shut up" I groan.

We take a seat on the swings and have a quick challenge to see who can go the highest but I give up when Louis beats me without putting any effort into it. Just when we've decided to walk back to the apartment the flashlight stops working. "For fuck's sake, work you stupid thing!" Louis says as he slams the flashlight against the palm of his hand. "Did you bring your phone?" I ask him. "Left it on the coffee table" he confesses and I remember mine was lying beside his and groan. "We're lost in a pitch black park? You're kidding right?" he mumbles. "Don't worry, we'll find our way back" I try to reassure him. "Through the dark? Doubtful Styles!" he replies.

I grab his arm, afraid to lose him and having to find my way back alone and he doesn't seem to mind. "Why don't they have lanterns here anyway?" he questions. I explain to him that they're never on in the dead of night because no one usually comes here, to begin with. "Tell me a story" Louis quietly says out of nowhere as we try to find our way out of the park. "I've always hated the dark, not being able to see if there are people around who might try to scare you," I say. "Going into a haunted house with you would be so funny!" Louis chuckles and I just shake my head. "We had a haunted forest at summer camp. Now that I think of it, it wasn't scary at all but I was 12" I laugh. "Tell me about it" Louis requests as we slowly walk through the park.

"But I don't want to go Lou!" I whine. "Oh come on! It'll be so much fun! I'll protect you, Harold!" Louis tries to convince me. "I don't like haunted anythings! They scare me" I pout but Louis can be very convincing. "It's not even Halloween!" I sigh. "That doesn't matter, it's fun! Come on!" he cheers, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the cabin and towards the large and scary sign that says "Haunted forest!" the odd and funny feeling in my stomach that I've experienced throughout the summer is replaced by fear. I wasn't lying when I said I don't like haunted things even if they're fake.
