South America feels like a complete blur. We travel to Bogota, Lima, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The days are long and filled to the brim, we don't get much time off and we're all starting to notice the effect it's having on every single one of us. We're exhausted, not very patient and longing to see our family and friends back home. Louis is single-handedly pulling me through this time with our phone calls, skype calls, his text messages and just the thought of him waiting for me to get home.

There will always be a part of the tour where it's just overwhelming, it's becoming too much because our days are long and the amount of sleep is decreasing. To make matters worse our record label has decided our last album with them needs to come out in about six to eight months, meaning there's a lot of work ahead of us. We've all been writing and sending songs to Julian and he has been working on them with us via Skype from time to time but he has now joined us on tour to spend the few hours we had to ourselves before bedtime, to work on the new songs. Create demo's to send to our record label and see if they approve of them.

If they approve we can start to actually record them. It's a great process but again, exhausting and especially on top of what we're already doing. sixteen hour days turn into eighteen hour days but they slowly become twenty-hour days, four hours of sleep before we have to be up and ready for our workouts to keep ourselves fit during the tour. People think being a singer is an easy job but they're massively underestimating it. Meetings, rehearsals, fittings, photo shoots, songwriting, recording, interviews, video shoots, award shows. Most of the things we thoroughly enjoy and we won't complain that quickly because we do get a good amount of money for everything we do but I can't help for long to be in a bathtub, have drinks and be surrounded by the people I love.

The only thing I truly dislike about my job is the media. I only have to hit my toe on furniture or it's already posted somewhere online. Wherever I go, people will take your picture. Going to an amusement park or be in the crowd at a concert are things I can't do. If we go to an amusement park we will get followed by a few hundred people the second we get noticed. Complete havoc is what's left behind. I remember going shopping once during our European leg of a tour, it took 10 minutes before a crowd had gathered around the store we were in.

People tweeted about it, called their mates and the store owner had to lock the doors, security ordered cars to go to the back entrance of the building to get us out of there. A lot of fans will go into the city centre of the city where we're performing to shop or look around so this won't happen in central London but it's still something so surreal, something I'll never understand.

When people approach us and ask for a selfie or autograph I'll most likely agree. On a rare occasion, I'll ask them not to take pictures but I'll sign whatever they want, to make them happy. On days I'm not feeling good about myself, feeling poorly or just came out of the gym are the rare occasion where I ask people not to take pictures. Most of the time our fans respect my wish but some always have to ignore it and take a picture anyway. Which to be quite honest, I find very disrespectful. It happened when we arrived at the airport in Sydney yesterday.

Liam wasn't feeling great and looked very pale and sweaty. He explained why he didn't want to take the time to talk to the people who showed up at the airport, basically because he didn't want them to get sick. Nearly begging them not to take any pictures and apologizing. Yet here I am scrolling through twitter and there are a handful of pictures of Liam taken from the side or showing his back. Sometimes I ask myself what life would be like if I never auditioned, I'd have a normal life but would I be happy? I love being on stage and sharing this experience with three of my best friends.
