A/N: Hi,
As some of you may know I have been struggling with mental health issues for well over a decade now and was doing pretty well towards the end of last year. Sadly things have taken a turn for the worse and that combined with some severe health issues has made it impossible for me to enjoy the things I used to love doing such as writing or reading.
I want and need to finish this story, for myself but also for the people who enjoy reading it but it will take time.
I truly am sorry.

I wake up in Louis' arms, feeling his breath on my neck as he slowly breathes in and out, seemingly still in deep sleep. I take the hand that is wrapped around my waist and lazily play with his fingers, kissing the back of his hand a couple of times before he wakes up. "Morning," he says in a raspy voice, pulling me in even closer. "Good morning" I struggle a little but eventually succeed and turn around in his arms and just watch him smile at me.
It takes an hour or so to get up and out of bed. We've spent some time waking up together and just lying in bed without saying much. Louis is out on the deck smoking his morning cigarette when there's a knock on the door. Not expecting anyone or anything, I walk over and open the door to find no one is actually there, which is good as I'm just now realizing I'm still only wearing pants. There is, however a large basket placed right outside of the door with our names on it. Without checking what is inside, I pick up the basket and bring it out onto the deck and give Louis a questioning look but he just shrugs and moves to put out the cigarette before he joins me.
I place the basket down and sit beside it as I start to unpack it. I find everything you could possibly want for breakfast inside along with a beautiful red rose. "Happy anniversary," Louis says just before kissing my cheek and he takes a seat next to me. "When did you do this?" I ask, in bit of a shock but he tells me he arranged it when they brought dinner over last night. "But I didn't get you anything" I watch Louis pour tea into the cups, rolling his eyes at my comment. "You brought me here. That covers the next five years of anniversaries and birthdays" he laughs but I disagree.
We take our time having breakfast, enjoying each other's company and the stunning view, Louis in just his pants, but also the view from our deck. We eventually change into our swimming trunks and go for a swim, play some card games with the deck of cards Louis brought. I win most of the games because Louis pretends not to see I'm cheating, big time.
We talk, laugh, kiss, cuddle, do everything we want to do just because we can and it's absolutely perfect.
After two days of sunbathing, swimming and playing card games we have decided to take a risk and head over to Hukuru Miskiiy, which is a mosque, the tsunami monument and Sultan Park. It's not that crowded and it's nice to just walk around without bumping into people, much like what would happen in London around this time of year.
We casually stroll around the park, go for lunch at one of the local restaurants and even ask our waiter to tell us more about what we should definitely do or see before we leave and the lovely man suggests going to the local market to which Louis and I agree to do next.
We don't dare to walk hand in hand for several reasons. One being that even though no one has come up to me, people could still recognise me and take pictures and two, we don't know how people here will react to two males holding hands. For all we know, the people here could be very homophobic and even try to hurt us.
On our way to the local market, we pass a few gift shops and Louis pulls me into one of them, telling me to try on a shirt that looks an awful lot like a Hawaiian shirt. "We're not in Hawaii," I tell him as he pushes me into the dressing room. "I know but you'll look so cute in it!" He replies, handing me the shirt and closing the curtain. I inspect the red top and the more I look at it, the less it reminds me of the Maldives. It has an eagle, mountains and grass on it but I try it to please Louis anyway.
