Hospital Wing - Sapphire

I began hearing voices. That's when I first knew I was conscious. My eyes where extremely heavy and refused to open. I contiuned to listen to what they where saying

"....Magnificent process" a female voice said "She'll be fine. She's a strong one". I then heard another voice, a male one this time

"I'm glad she's going to be ok!" another male voice then said

"I can't believe she saved me" I heard him sigh "She saved my life even after she was horrible. I'd probably be dead. I don't know how she survived". I tried to force my eyes open. Finally after a good few minutes I was able to slowly lift my eye lids. The light was blinding at first. It took me everything not to close my eyes again. They quickly ajusted to the light. I blinked and moved my head around. I didn't yet have the strength to sit up.

"Oh my gosh Sapphire!" two faces apeared above me. It was Jackie Surola and Aaron Glass.

"Hey guys" I said in a croaky voice. I looked at Jackie "Are you ok? None of the potion hit you did it?" Jackie's eyes widened

"You're the one who's been in the hospital wing out cold for two days are you're asking if I'M alright" My eyes widened this time

"Two days! Oh no! The homework for History of Magic was due yesterday!" I began to sit up. The nurse, I believe her name was Madame Pomfry, rushed over

"You need to lay down!" I ignored her and sat up anyway, feeling instantly sick

"But I need to go appoligise to Professor Binns for not doing the homework" I said "And I had better go appologise to Professor Slughorn for smashing one of his viles and offer to finish cleaning the cauldrons. The boys and Madame Pomfry where all gobsmacked but I was being completely serious.

"You're an idiot, you know that" Jackie said to me, pinching the bridge of his nose "You almost DIED Sapphire! I think the teachers will forgive you"

"Lay down" Aaron said to me. "We'll go find your dorm mates, they where worried. Oh and your friend Raven too. She was worried sick!" I paled and my hair turned colour. I had no vlue what colour it was before but now it was black. Guilt.

"Um... maybe just leave Raven for now" The two where confused but didn't question me. The boys went to find my dorm mates and I lay back down. My head was still quite sore.

"We managed to get rid of most of the burns" Madame Pomfry told me, pouring me a glass of water "Unfortunatly you have a huge scar down your right leg". After she was gone I sat up again, feelng much less sick, and grabbed the water, gulping it down. I then pulled up the leg of the bottoms I was wearing checked my right leg. Madame Pomfry wasn't exagerating when she said 'huge'. It went right fron my knee to my ankle. It was ugly and jagged. I sighed, pulling the leg of my bottoms down. I couldn't complain. At least I lived. Some people have worse scars. I would just never wear shorts or a skirt without tights. I then heard the door to the hospital wing open. Dolly and Izzy ran in. Dolly was about to jump on me, but Izzy held her back

"You don't know how Ill she is!" she scollded Dolly. I chuckled, my hair turning yellow.

"Hey guys" I said to them. I saw Izzy get mad

"You've been out cold, almost dead for two days, and you say "Hey guys"'. She then hugs me. Dolly's puffs out her cheaks, looking like an angry gerbel.

"How come you can hug her and I can" I just giggle.

"Your friend Raven told us you where in detention when we find out your in the hospital wing! Are you mad!" My hair turned black at the mention of Raven. I still feel guilty for how I treated her

"I promise guys" I said with a smile "I'm fine"
