1st day- Raven

Raven POV

Here I am finally. Platform 9 3/4. I've been waiting so long to fill my desitiny and rectify my family's mistakes. I glanced down at my bandaged arm "damn this curse!" I mumbled under my breath. I pushed my trolley over to the train and walked to the cage perched at the very top
"Come on Blake" I opened the cage and the shiny, black bird hopped onto my wrist. She climbed up and sat on my shoulder quite content. I chuckled and waited for the man to put away my stuff before walking to my compartment of the train
"Where do you think you're going sis?" I groaned
"Hello Crow"
he chuckled and hugged me
"I'm so glad you finally got into Hogwarts...this is going to be the best year ever" I glared at my older brother
"Crow...you've been saying this for the past few months give it a rest will ya?" he laughed
"How can I? I can't wait to tell all my third year buddies that my awesome sister is finally here" I scoffed playfully
"you talk about me? Behind my back? I am offended Crow Howler" I laughed and hugged him "I guess i'll see you in Hogwarts, huh?" He nodded and walked ovee to his friends who were shouting him over. I reached up and stroked Blake's chest "relax Blake...he just likes looking out for me" she cawed at me "I suppose you're right...he is a bit of an idiot but he loves me...and I love him" she cawed softly in my ear and moved closer "Raven!" I turned around and saw my mother "mum?" She hugged
"Be safe OK?" I nodded
"Where's father?" She looked away
"He-he couldn't make it" I looked away
"Typical" she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small parcel
"This should have all the money you need...if you need more let me know OK?" I nodded
"Yes mum" we hugges before the train's whistle began to blow breaking us apart
"Go" I smiled and boarded the train. I waves goodbye to my mum and went to find a compartment that was empty. After searching through the cabins, I found one that only had one person in it. A girl with a white cat reading. I pulled the door open.
"Mind if I sit here?" She glanced up but didn't say anything, I entered and sat down across from her. Blake hopped down and stood on the seat beside me, the cat hissed at her but she paid no attention to it. I looked at the cover of her book 'Curse of the moon' "It's a good book" she glanced up
"What?"
"You're book...I've read it a thousand times" I reached into my backback and pulled out a tattered version of the same book "It's one of my favourites as well" she placed the book down beside the white cat
"You don't seem like a reader" I chuckled
"I don't seem like a lot of things but there you go" Blake cawed "Oh, this is Blake and I'm Raven, Raven Howler" I reached out to shake her hand
"Sapphire, Sapphire Bane and this little cutie is Piper" I looked at the cat
"Piper? Unusual name for a cat" she shrugged
"I like being out of the ordinary" the train started to move as we headed towards our new home. Hogwarts, here we come.

Some time later the train stopped and we left the train, we had changed into our robes not long after the train had set off. We gathered on the platform and there stood a giant at least 6ft tall "first years! Follow me!" He began to walk towards the castle, lantern in hand. We followed him and soon we reached a lake with boats "two or three people per boat!" He got into the boat at the front
"Blake, fly ahead" she nodded and took off
"Why'd you do that?" I sat in the boat
"Not a big fan of water" we glanced around and saw everyone in their boats but two boys caught my eyes. Both had black hair but one had brown eyes the other had blue, they weren't like the others. Not in the slightest. I shrugged as the boats began to head towards the castle
"What do you think it's going to be like?" I shook my head
"I don't know...I hope it's full of adventure" Sapphire smiled at me
"Me too"
"Hey Wolfrick!" I turned to my left
"Cardin?" He waved along with the girl next to him
"Bella is that you?"
"Yeah...you dyed you're hair again?" I shook my head
"Changed it back to my natural colour" they smiled
"Black suits you best" I laughed
"Wolfrick?" I looked back at Sapphire
"It's a long story...a story for another time" The boats docked and we walked to the entrance. We climbed the stairs and there stood a female professor
"Welcome to Hogwarts...in just a few minutes you will enter through these doors and be sorted into your houses before you'll join you're class mates" I heard a caw and the door opened. Blake flew towards me and perched on my shoulder
"Where did you go?" She didn't answer me
"My name is Professor McGonagall...I teach Transfiguration here at Hogwarts and the depute head here as well as the head of the Griffindor house" I glanced to Sapphire who was petting her cat "There are four house Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Griffindor" Sapphire perked up at the sound of Hufflepuff but I was more interested in the Slytherin house. The doors opened and McGonalgall lead us through into the main hall where all the other years and teachers were waiting. In front of the teachers table was a table and a old hat, I leaned over to Saphhire "That's the sorting hat...he puts us into our different houses" she looked at me
"I know" we all stood in a group infront of this stool "Now when I call your name you will come up and be sorted into your houses" I was beginning to get nervous already.
