Freak! - Sapphire

Next was Herbology. We left the dungeons and began to make our way there. Unfortunately it was with the Ravenclaw's. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't more Jackie Surola. Dolly and Izzy said not to worry (My hair was grey which signified my worry). Dolly had once again tried to go for Jackie but Izzy held her back, dragging her towards Herbology. We arrived in front of multiple greenhouses with our other classmates. None of us where sure where to go. Professor Sprout came over to us and smiled

"Hello. We're in greenhouse one. Whenever you have Herbology head over there" we all nodded. We went into greenhouse one. It was covered in many plants I had never seen before. "3 people to a tray" she then said gesturing to the trays in front. Dolly, Izzy and I went together. Guess who decided to sit across the table from us? Surola. He was with 2 other Ravenclaw's, all of them looked like they where better than us. He smirked at me.

"Don't have your little Slytherin friend to protect you now Bane" my hair turned a blue grey. Professor Sprout then gave us our lesson.

"For your first lesson I want you to re-pot these bouncing bulbs" she explained. She gave us tips on what to do. Soon the whole of the greenhouse was filled with bouncing bulbs, as their name suggests, bouncing all over the place. My hair turned yellow. I was happy and having fun. That was until Jackie and his friends had to interfere

"How stupid are you to let the bulbs bounce everywhere" Jackie said to Izzy, Dolly and I. He and his friends had managed to pot all their bulbs without them bouncing.

"What's with the hair" one of his Ravenclaw friend sneered "It's so stupid. Logically it should be impossible for metamorphmagi to exist. Anyone who is one is weird and not normal". My hair turned a dark blue. I wanted to start crying.

"Yeah well, no one is normal" Dolly said. Jackie shook his head.

"People who say "normal isn't a thing" really grind my gears"

"Actually" I said trying to sound confident "I don't really believe there is such a thing. Everyone has their own definition of normal. So we are either all normal or their is no such thing as normal". Jackie and the over Ravenclaw's laughed at me and my hair turned hot pink with embarrassment.

"Listen here Bane" Jackie said smugly "We're normal your not. You are nothing but a freak" My hair turned a really dark blue. Before anything else could be said the bell rang for a break. Without a second thought I ran out of the greenhouse crying. I ran into the bathroom on the first floor, despite the fact it was out of order. No one would look in here. I continued to cry. even at Hogwarts I was still considered a freak.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I looked up and saw a ghost girl. She had bunches in her hair and wore thick rimmed glasses. She wore Ravenclaw robes.

"I'm sorry" I said attempting (and failing) to control my crying "I didn't realise this was your bathroom. I'll leave"

"Why are you crying" she asked before I could get up.

"I...I was called a freak" I told her, tears still streaming down my face, although I had controlled by sobbing. She looked at me sympathetically and floated beside me with her legs crossed

"I was called a freak too" she told me. I turned to her

"You don't look like a freak" I told her

"Neither do you"

"I am" I sighed "I'm a metamorphmagus. I can't control my power so I can't show you but I am" I began to sob again "Some Ravenclaw's called me a freak because of it". She l continued to look sympathetic

"I don't think you're a freak" she told me "I think that makes you unique. They don't like it because it makes you better than them" I wiped my tears but I still felt upset

"Thanks" I told her attempting a smile, my hair staying blue. "I'm Sapphire Bane by the way" She smiled

"You can call me Myrtle"

"Nice to meet you Myrtle" the bell went signifying the end of our break. I stood up and checked my timetable. Flying with Slytherin's. I looked in the mirror. My eyes where puffy and bloodshot but I didn't care. I turned to Myrtle "I'll come back another time. I have class" She nodded and flew up, then into a toilet. I walked out. No one spotted me luckily. I took a slow walk down to the flying pitch. I had seen it on the way to Herbology. I was one of the last to arrive. Dolly and Izzy spotted me and frowned. They began to walk over but I shook by head. They got the message. I wanted to be left alone. I felt someone else staring. I looked and saw Raven. Her eyes widened as she saw how puffy and bloodshot my eyes where. I looked away, not wanting to talk to anyone. This was going to be a long lesson.
