Jake's POV:

Jake and Issac were pulling up to the front of the church, though why they were Jake didn't have much a clue. He just wanted to get home and rest really, Issac didn't have to come in and Jake certainly wasn't about to try and force him to. If something big was going to happen then Jake was sure he'd be among the first to know. They turned the corner of the church and Jake stopped in front of the garage doors so that Issac could open them up.

Once inside Jake didn't bother putting his helmet anywhere, he just dropped in on the floor and walked toward the door to head into the church. Issac on the other hand didn't seem too sure about going inside so Jake just waved him off and shut the door on the vampire. He was already in the building so if he wanted to come in Issac was free to do so but if he left he'd be stuck out there until he was escorted in by another Saint. Whatever he did Jake didn't care, he unzipped his sweater and walked down the short hall way until he found himself walking along the edge of the alter heading for the stairs but just as he was reaching for the doorknob he was shocked to see that it was already turning.

Jake caught his breath and whipped around and let out a frustrated growl upon seeing that he was in the public church. All Saint Residences had two identical settings, but they were bewitched so that another space existed right beside the other. It was a complicated hex, one that Jake gave up trying to fully understand, but basically what it did was it made two separate churches on the same bit of land. One was used for the Saint's residence which was only accessible if a Saint or Unrisen used their necklace to get in. The other was for public eyes only, in this case a regular old church which people could come to on Sunday's and listen to Father Matthew preach. Unfortunately Jake did not use his necklace to get in and so he was standing in the public church that anyone could enter, and after seeing the door open up Jake realized that's the one he was walking in.

As the heavy wooden door opened up Jake froze as he waited for whoever it was to come out and his breath got caught in his throat upon seeing a police officer exit the door. They both paused for the briefest of seconds and Jake tried to remember what he was supposed to say should he come in the public church and see someone. He just remembered what he was instructed to say when the officer whipped out his gun and held it to Jake's face.

"Jacob Erikson," The police officer said in a questioning tone. Unsure of what to say Jake simply nodded his head and held up his hands dropping the sweater in his hands. The officer grabbed Jake by the wrists and folded it behind his back. "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law-"

"Whoa wait a sec," Jake said turning but the officer pulled his arm up a bit more making Jake face straight forward again. "What's this all about officer?"

"You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed for you." Jake was about to try turning again but froze at the feeling of cold metal being wrapped around his wrists followed by an emphatic clicking sound. "You're under arrest under the suspicion of murder kid."

"Murder!?" Jake exclaimed as he allowed the officer to walk him down the middle of the church aisle. He could slip out of the handcuffs anytime he wanted but Jake knew that'd only cause more harm than good so he just let out a sigh and let the officer walk him outside and to his vehicle. "Can you at least tell me why you'd think a church boy like me would be suspected of murder?"

The officer made Jake stand up against his squad car before he spread Jake's legs and proceeded to pat him down. "Just hope you don't have anything on you that'd be damning to a jury." Was all the officer said patting Jake's waist and feeling the pocket knife, and right away Jake tensed up, he wasn't sure if he'd cleaned it off after his run in with the Strigoi. Nothing he could do about it now since the officer took it out and flipped it open. "What kind of church boy carries a knife like this around?"
