Chapter 42

*ANNAS POV*

The car ride to the vets was short and sweet. We walked through the doors and were hit with a blast of cold air. Thank god! Tyler walked to the front desk while me, Josh, and Jenna waited. Tyler walked back to us and said it would be a few minutes before Popeye came out. Soon we heard the excited little barks of Popeye. The nurse walked out with Popeye in her hand she handed him to me and I gave him a little hug. I set him down on the floor and he wagged his tail and then ran to the chairs. He was definitely a lot happier! Then Tyler was done filling out the papers and we were finally able to take him home! First we had to go to Petsmart and get him some stuff. We pulled into the parking lot and into the store we went. The first thing to get him was a leash and collar. I didn't see any I liked until one caught my attention. It was a black spikey collar. I grabbed that one in 3 sizes and then I grabbed a red leash. Next was to get him some food and food bowls. I picked out some food that said it was for puppies and I picked two metal food dishes. Then we got him a bunch of toys. Finally we got him a bed, I picked out a pretty big one since he would grow into it. Same with the collars. We walked to the checkout lines and I set Popeye on the little counter thing. The lady greeted us and started scanning stuff. She noticed Popeyes eye, but didn't say anything. She then noticed he didn't have a collar so she handed me the collar and the leash. I pulled the collar over his head and adjusted it. I could tell he liked it, the lady handed me the leash and I clipped it on to his collar. The lady finished and we paid and then we left. I took out one of they toys and gave it to Popeye. He chewed on it the whole ride home. Soon we were home, but before we went inside I took him to go to the bathroom. After he finished his business I took him inside so he could look inside. I unhooked the leash and off he went. He ran everywhere sniffing. Then he went upstairs and I chased after him to make sure he didn't chew anything. Once he was done I brought him up to my room. He sniffed and jumped up on my bed. Then he laid down and took a little nap. This was my chance so I went downstairs and brought up all his stuff. I found a spot in my room for his bed and a little bin for his toys. I picked him up and set him on my bed, but he woke up. He did a cute little yawn and stretch. He stood up and I put his leash on him. I was gonna take him to the MDE house to meet everyone. We walked downstairs and out the door.. We walked down the sidewalk and started walking up the driveway. I knocked on the door and Shannon opened it. "Oh my god he's so cute!" She said bending down to let him. She let us in and we went to the living room. I unleashed him and he went and sniffed around. He went to Kyle's room and jumped at the door. I asked if he was home and Shannon said yes so I knocked and asked to come in. He said yea and I opened the door and Popeye ran in and jumped on Kyle at first he was surprised, but then pet him. Kyle asked about his eye and I told him the whole story. Then Kyle hugged Popeye. It was adorable so I snapped a picture. We stayed for a little bit so Popeye could meet everyone. After he met everyone we left. Popeye gave a little yawn and ran up to my room and into his bed. I checked my phone. 8:30 pm. Wow it was kinda late and I need to go to bed early since I was maybe gonna bring Popeye and MDE to the beach. Goodnight!
