Ch3 Sweeney's POV

"oh god what have I done, Nellie" I cry as I see her fall from the stares and I run towards her, what have I done first I kill Lucy and now Nellie. She's always been there for me why is it I end up hurting everyone who loves me. I saw the fear in her eyes as she ran. Ran for her life. I kneel down by her crumpled body, she's so beautifully with her red lips and dark hair how could I not have seen it earlier.

"I'm so sorry Nellie" I say crying on her tattered dress, when I hear a creek from the sewer grate

"MR. Todd what's. what's going on, oh god Mum! What have you done I'll kill you I kill you I will" Toby says hitting me as I cling to Mrs. Lovett's dress.

"I'm sorry toby I'm sorry" I say grabbing the boy to stop him from hitting me further he looks up at me with scared eyes and I pull the lad into a hug. We may have never gotten along but I know he loves Nellie.

"is she dead did you kill her" he asks in a small voice and I fell so ashamed for what I've done.

"she'll be alright lad... she has to be. Now let get her up stares" toby just nods and I scoop Nellie up and carry her from the bake house to her room. After I get her settled in bed I go out to the pie shop to see a crossed arm Toby looking at me.

"why'd you do it" toby says gaining a little confidence, his green eyes shining brightly at me with anger, not that I blame him.

"I'll start from the beginning... you see there was a barber and his wife and a baker and they were both so beautiful" I say getting two glasses and filling them with gin, toby sits across from me at a booth and listens not saying a word until I finish.

"I'm glad you killed the judge. but mum why you have to hurt her" he says slowly finishing off the bottle.

"I was blinded by rage and grief not that that's an excuse but all I saw was Lucy until I saw Nell... I mean Mrs. Lovett" I saw looking at him.

"I'll help you Mr. Todd but if you hurt her again I'll kill you" he says standing up and extending his hand to me, he really does love Nellie just like a son should.

"I'd expect nothing less and you can call me Sweeney" I saw shaking his head he nods and walks back to his room. The next morning, I wake up on the couch in Mrs. Lovett's parlor. I walk Slowey to her room and she hasn't moved at all.

"Nellie... Nellie, please wake up pet" I whisper coming close to the beautiful women it takes her a minute but soon her dark eyelashes slowly flutter open.

"Mr. Todd...." She says but the words don't seem to come out right she stops and looks down at her neck and bed then back at me with recognition and her eyes widen in fear, fear of me.

"calm down Nellie please I'm so sorry" I saw looking down but I lookback up at her when she starts to move on the bed that I'm nearing by.

"don't hurt me please" she says crying and she tries to run but I hold her down relishing I just traumatized her I loosen my grip and I embrace her.

"never again Nell never again" I whisper inhaling the sweet smell of her hair how could I have hurt this woman.

"get away from me" she screams pushing me off of her and I let go without hesitation, I never want to hurt her again.

"I'm sorry Nellie" I whisper leaving I go and see toby cooking in the kitchen.

"how is she" he asks looking at me sternly

"she hates me" I saw defeated and I sit on a boot putting my head in my hands

"I'll go and talk to her" he says and he makes a plate of food and brings it to her. I sit there for a while then I move closer to the door to hear their conversation.

"he is mum like I said he told me everything and how you love him and how he hurt you, he so sorry mum we can't just leave him" I here toby say and I hold my breath wondering how Nellie will respond.

"no toby we can't he's evil hell kill us all I know he will" she says with terror in her voice god iv broken her.

"toby can you come here a minute lad" I saw having an idea

"what is it" Toby says look at me questionably

"I want you to go to the market and get Mrs. Lovett some gillie flowers" I say handing him the money. He smiles and takes the money from my open hand ad leaves.

"Nellie... I brought you some lunch" I say a few hours later. I just want to talk to her.

"come on pet you have to eat" I saw when she doesn't respond she looks around the room, looking at everything but me.

"toby" she whispers giving me suck a cold look. It kills me to see her like this.

"he'll be back soon" I reply looking at the food. I almost kill the women and I say sorry with a bowl of soup and burnt bread.

"I never could cook" I state after a long period of science. How did I even burn the bread?

"why don't you just kill me already" she yells out solely looking at me.

"I couldn't, can't, wont" I reply calmly leaving the food hoping shell eat. I leave her there. I have to leave before I lose myself again. I see how bled I have ben. Only one am I relishing why. I've always ignored her because I love her as well even when I was married I always avoided her because I was married. True I loved Lucy but are marriage was arranged, it was different.
