Misunderstandings: Book 1, to 'Mis' series (GaLe FanFic Fairy Tail)

Chapter 1: The first day

Levy POV

"Levy darling wake up, it's time for your first day of school"

That was my mother and right now it's Seven O,Clock, which means I have one hour to get ready before I have to walk to school. Who am I you ask? My name is Levy McGarden, I am 17 years old and currently in my third year in highschool, I have high grades and I am quite short for my age
"Levy, Mum said to get up, come on"
That was my little sister Fiona, she is currently 15 years old, starting her first year in highschool and she is taller than me, that's right my little sister is taller than me, she was the lucky one who got Mum's genes but she has Dad's hair colour, which is black, I got my Dad's genes and Mum's hair colour which is blue, Dad was short which I always found funny but they were both perfect that is until Dad died, so now it's just the three of us.
I love school but the holidays has ruined my sleeping routine and all I did was study for the past week.
"Okay, i'm getting up" I said groggily
"Mum made eggs and bacon so you better hurry" she teased
I got out of bed and quickly put on my school uniform which consisted of a blue tarten skirt, which for me is just under mid thigh, a white blouse with a yellow cardigan and a loose tie but it seemed rather warm today so I didn't put my cardigan on, I just tucked my blouse into my skirt and kept it like that, I put my long white socks on, that went a few centermeters under my knees, slipped on my black school shoes, brushed my hair and I put on my orange hair band to pin back my bangs, they were really annoying.
"Done" I said to my self in my bedroom mirror
I ran down the hallway, we don't have a big house it's just one story but it has four bedrooms so we have a spare room for guests, so I guess you can say it's big, and into the kitchen and I sat down at the table serving my self some eggs and bacon.
"Hungry aren't ya" My Mum chuckled
"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" I stated
"Oh and Levy I won't hang around you too much, I might embarrass you" Fiona laughed
I growled but looked at the time, it was almost Eight O,Clock, so I finished my bacon and eggs quickly, grabbed my bag and books for the year and began to exit the house.
"Levy wait up" I heard Fiona say
I stopped at the door and Fiona caught up
"Okay love you Mum, see you after school" Fiona said before exiting
"Okay dear, have a good day girls" she smiled
"Thanks Mum, bye" I replied closing the door

Fiona and I walked to school, it's about a Twenty minute walk but school does't start till Eight, Forty Five. As I was walking along the side walk I looked up to my younger sister, she was at least a head taller than me and her long silky black hair was pulled up in a pony tail, her green eye's shining in the sun and she is blessed with a lovely body figure, not as blessed as my friend Lu-chan that's for sure, I have always been jealous of my sister's looks, she used to be a chubby little thing a few years back but after she hit pubity she really has blossomed into a beautiful girl, I wouldn't be surpised if she got a boyfriend by the end of the month.
"I wonder if any cute boys will be at school this year?" I suddenly heard her say
"Maybe, i'm afriad i haven't been blessed with such boys in my highschool life" I laughed
"Maybe you'll get lucky this year" she smirked
"I don't think so and besides I am going to focus a bit more on my studies" I shrugged
"Wha? your smart enough as it is"
I was going to reply but the roaring sound of motorbikes came into view, three moter bikes zoomed passed me and my sister in the direction...

(none of you better say one direction... :p)

...of the school, i squealed in shock because it was so sudden and Fiona blocked her ears a bit, I got a glimpse at one of the guys, he had a helmet on but he was wearing our uniform, great we are having thugs for students this year.
"Well that was a rush" Fiona chuckled
"I think one of them goes to our school" I sighed
"What makes you say that?" she asked
"I saw the uniform" I said bluntly
Fiona sighed but smiled instantly walking to the school and I soon followed

After a few short minutes we entered the school of Fairy Tail High, a private school but not the most expensive and everyone knows everyone around here, well I think so anyway, the halls were immediately an uproar but that was to be expected, papers flying everywhere, boys on skateboards although riding skateboards in the halls are against the school rules.
"Hey Levy, I see some of my friends over there so I'll be leaving you" Fiona said pointing into the direction of a couple of lockers
"Yup, have a good day" I waved
She waved back and left, I sighed and started to move towards my locker, I have the same one as last year thanks goodness because I hate having to look for a new one.
"Hey Levy-chan!" I heard a familiar voice yell
I turned around and I saw my best friend, Lucy Heartfilia, she ran up to me and gave me a bear hug and I just laughed
"Hey Lu-chan, how has your holidays been?" I asked with a smile
"Oh good but guess what happened!" she squealed
"What?" I replied
"Natsu, asked me to be his girlfriend! Just a few days ago before school!" she squealed with happiness
"Oh you two are like perfect for each other!" I smiled brightly at her
"You think so? I'm just glad we are together" she smiled
I hugged her in happiness, Natsu has been meaning to confess to Lucy for quite some time, he even came to me for advice because he had no clue how, I wish I had something like that
"Hey Luce!" I suddenly heard Natsu yell from across the hall
Lucy looked up to see Natsu and she waved
"Well I'll meet you in class" she said kindly to me
"Sure thing" I waved
And with that she left with Natsu and Natsu put his hand around her waist, I sighed and opened my locker and I better hurry because class will start soon.

I grabbed my books for the morning and I had Math plus English, I don't really like Math but I get good grades but English is a good subject to start the day and I headed over to Math

Math was actually pretty boring but I did spend most of the time whispering to Lucy and Juvia although Juvia kept on staring at Gray because she has a major crush on him so I headed off to English after that and we immediately started reading a book for the semester and it's a classic, Beauty and the Beast, I have read the book like five times!
"Levy can you read the next-"
Before the teacher could finish his sentence the bell rang and the class started to exit
"Now I won't give you any homework today because it's your first day but tomorrow will be different" said Mr. Chives

(I don't know just made it up)

I was the last to get out because I didn't organise my books properly, okay I have to admit I'm not a very tidy person but I do get things done, I walked out of the classroom and to my locker, I put my books away and I headed down to the cafeteria for break, I saw Lucy waving to me at one if the tables and I then waved back just before I entered the canteen but I was stopped before I could get there
"Hey Levy" said my two friends Jet and Droy
Droy is kind of overweight but good to be around and Jet is a tall boy with orange hair
"Uh hey guys how has your day been?" I asked
"Good but we miss you Levy-chan" Droy said whining a bit
"So do you want to sit with us?" Jet asked
"Uh sorry guys but I was going to sit with Lu-chan today maybe next time I can" I smiled
Okay I don't really like to admit this but Jet and Droy tend to get a bit clingy, don't get me wrong they are good friends but I do need my space
"Awww come on we haven't seen you all summer" Jet frowned
"Sorry guys but I'll be sure to catch up" I said apologetically
I began to walk towards the canteen but I mustn't  have been paying attention because I bumped into someone and fell to the ground
"Owwww" I said using my hands to break my fall
"Hey watch where you're going shrimp" I heard a gruff voice say
I have no idea who just said that but I did just fall to the ground
"Who are you calling a shrimp you inconsiderate jerk" I snapped
I heard a few gasps around the room and thats when I looked up, I think I just saw my life flash before my eyes!

Gajeel POV

Man, schools boring, I already skipped English and I still found it boring and to think I have to spend a whole year doing this, I sighed in annoyance and headed my way to the cafeteria and I had no trouble getting there either, no one bumped into me or even looked at me in the eye because my name is Gajeel Redfox, I am what you call the badass, the rebel, no one dares cross my path although it never used to be like this.

On my way to the cafeteria I saw people talking and eating and I was getting hungry but before I could get to the canteen some girl bumped into me and she fell to the ground, seriously? I looked down and I saw a small girl with blue hair and an orange bandana
"Owwww" is what she said

(oh my glob I just made a pun I'm so sorry)

"Hey watch where you're going shrimp" I growled
She didn't look up but she did say something
"Who are you calling a shrimp you inconsiderate jerk"
There were a few gasps around the room and I think I went a bit wide eyed my self and those are such big words for such a small person, she looked up and I instantly saw the fear in her eyes
"Tch" I said
She sure was going to regret this. The girl slowly backed away and got up and all eyes were on her, she was slightly shaking and she nervously looked around but stood her ground
"What was that shrimp?" I almost growled
Now that she is standing up I can get a proper look at her, she was small, is she even in high school? Her short blue hair was messy and her Orange bandana removed her bangs from her face, she had dark brown eyes and her uniform was all neat and tidy, after a few seconds she seemed to have looked at me in the eye, hm she's got guts I'll give her that
"Y-you heard me" she stuttered
There were a few more gasps around the room and a few whispers, man can these guys mind their own business?
"Hmm got guts I see" I smirked
She seemed to flinch but she still kept eye contact
"Look I'm sorry I bumped into you but as far as I'm concerned your not hurt" she said quickly
I looked at her again and she did have a few grazes on her hands I just sighed
"I'm not in the mood for this today..." I paused and looked at everyone "...quit staring would ya?"
And with that everyone went back to what they were doing and the girl looked at me with slight shock and I walked up to her
"You're lucky it's the first day shrimp" I smirked
"I have a name" she snapped but not very loudly
"Tch, do you think I care" I growled
"No because your Gajeel Redfox, who's heart is as hard as iron" she said gruffly
This girl is getting interesting, I smirked and started to walk away patting her head in the process, don't ask why it was just a reflex

Levy POV

"No because your Gajeel Redfox, who's heart is as hard as iron"
You have no idea how much I am shaking right now, mentally. I can't believe I am talking back to Gajeel Redfox! he smirked and his piercings that were placed in his eyebrows, nose and chin gave him the intimidating look and his long black hair, which for a guy is also against the school rules, made him look wild and don't get me started on his height, he is a few centre meters taller than my sister and she is tall enough! he started to walk away but the last thing he did shocked me, he patted me on the head? I looked behind me and he just walked off further way throughout the cafeteria.
"Levy-chan that was amazing" I heard Droy say
"Levy-chan" Lucy ran up to me best hugging me again "did he hurt you because if he did I'll give him a piece of my mind" she threatened
"No he didn't, not at all" I sighed
"That's really shocking and scary, just be careful okay?" Lucy warned me
"Juvia was so scared for Levy" Juvia almost cried
"It's okay I'm fine" I kind of laughed
"Well come on Levy, we have food to eat" Lucy said trying to change the topic
I simply nodded and bought some food from the canteen and headed down to the table where Lucy was sitting and everyone immediately went deep into conversation but I was slightly distracted by the fact Gajeel didn't do anything but simply pat my head, I have never been more confused in my entire life.
"You okay Levy?" Lucy asked
"Y-Yeah just thinking is all" I reassured her
"If you say so" she shrugged and went back to talking
This sure was an interesting first day.

(Time skip end of school day)

It's the end of school and I did pretty well with all my classes and I didn't get any homework which is good because that means I have more time to finish the book I'm reading, I smiled at the thought. I got to my locker and put my books away, which means my bag will be lighter, hooray for me. I walked out of the school doors and so were a few other people and just as I turned the corner, past the gate, to walk home I get pinned to a wall!
"Eeeep" I shreak in shock
I closed my eyes on impact and my bag fell down which caused some of my books to fall out, I opened my eyes to see my attacker and I flinched in shock but stood my ground
"G-Gajeel!" I stuttered
He had his left arm against the wall, pinning me to it and his tall figure was towering over mine. He leaned towards me and I shuffeld back to whatever space that was left between me and the wall.
"You sure are short shrimp" He grumbled
I swallowed my saliva, why is he bugging me, he is out to kill me isn't he? great what have you gotten yourself into Levy
"What do you want?" I said not stuttering this time
"Nothing, just got bored and you are one of the first people to ever stand up to me, so I finally have something interesting to do" he smirked
Okay now I am angry, first he goes off at me at lunch, pins me to a wall, insults me and now i'm his personal enterainment so much for a good first day at school!
"Look i'm not your personal entertainment and it's about time someone stands up to you...now if you would excuse me" I said bravely trying to move away from his towering body
"Hey Levy sorry I took so Lon-" I heard Fiona say
Gajeel looked at Fiona and let me go and I looked at him then back at Fiona, it was like that for five seconds but Fiona finally said something
"You better not have been hurting my sister" she almost growled
Gajeel was about to say something but I interrupted him
"Don't worry he wasn't...I'm just his entertainment" I said a bit more harshly than intended
I saw a smirk on Gajeels face but it was followed by a Tch but I just ignored him and started to walk home with Fiona without saying a word.

Well that's the first chapter and I am actually quite proud of it.

Gajeel x Levy story's aren't as famous as Natsu x Lucy stories on wattpad but I thought I would give it a go and sorry if some of my characters seem a bit OOC
