Chapter 8: Sleepover? More like an investigation

Hey look I did another one of those --------? More like ------ chapters? Maybe I should make this a regular thing haha

Any whoo I dedicate this chapter too CoffeeDuck (she changed her username but she'll know who she is), for she has shown true dedication and support in this fan fiction (told ya I was going to dedicate this to you :p) and she is one crazy fast of a voter I'll tell you that much :D

Levy's POV

I walked my way to class although i'm a bit more excited to go than usual, is it because of the project, I mean it's a good subject? or is it because of the circumstances that lead me and Gajeel to-

Levy! you have only known him a couple days! well actually you have known him for over a year but you never really talked to him that is until this whole science thing and sure he has his good points but only you know about them...I think...and not only will people judge you for having such thoughts but what will your friends think, huh? Oh dear I sound horrible and all I want to do is be-

"Yo shrimp we're gonna be late"

I turned around and looked up, it was Gajeel. What wonderful timing

"Oh yeah right, well come on then"

he gave out a grunt but I could have sworn there was a smile, not his usual smirk. Yeah i'm probably imagining things, good way of keeping your hopes up huh Levy!

"Well aren't you gonna move, we haven't got all damn day for you too just stand in the hallway"

"Ah, oh yeah moving"

nice way to keep your cool, what is wrong with me lately? I sighed and walked into the classroom, sitting at a bench where Gajeel soon followed, I suddenly just noticed, everyone is staring at us so I looked at the clock, we're seven minutes late

"Well whats with you two, late?" Mr Heathem questioned, quirking an eyebrow

"Give it a rest, it's not like we missed anything"

"Keep up that attitude chump and classes won't be the only thing that you're missing"

I gulped

"Detention for both of you, I am not putting up with tardiness today" he sighed, signing two slips "you two meet me after school" he said walking over to our bench

Gajeel just sighed taking the slip but I on the other hand took it with shakey hands. I have never gotten a detention, well this just isn't my week is it.

"Now get on with your assignment Miss Feathers gave you"

And with that everyone got to work, I groaned and leaned on my right arm

"Damned teacher"

It was silent for a while, well silent between me and Gajeel at least

"Well get on with it" Gajeel suddenly growled

"With what exactly" I replied annoyed

"Well why else would we be in this class"

I sighed and tightened my headband on my head

"Well considering you're are stronger than me, I figured you could do all the bending and well most of the physical stuff but we sorted that out in our last class but if it's okay with you could I do the heating and cooling, I figured out the right temperatures and I don't want you to do all the physical work" I asked

"Sounds alright to me but what are we gonna morph it into, we were only given a small hunk of metal" he complained

"Well I also got that figured out, you see if we flatten it out- umm could I burrow your exercise book?"
